  2. Its just like the old real estate saying "Location location location". But in the case of fishing it is "Rigging Rigging Rigging". Jigs and Tubes are tools, just like we use in our day jobs (for those of us that are still working and not retired Hopeful Someday!!!!) and are used in different jobs of fishing. Altough jigs and tubes can and are used in the same places. Rigging them is the key to a bite or no bites. I can't remember the times that I have been beat by someone who was using the same bait I was using, but rigged differently. We all have our favorite way of doing things (sometimes not the best). The best bait in the world wont catch fish until its rigged right and you put in front of an active fish!! Jigs do seem to catch bigger fish than tubes, but that could just be that the fish wanted a bigger "crawdad" and not the little version. With jigs alot of times its not the jig, but the action of the trailer that catches or dont catch the fish. With tubes it can be the fall that gets a bite. What i'm saying is alot of times it is more than just a Jig vs Tube question Just my two cents. BTW I usally have both rigged when the bottom bite is on.
  3. I keep think I will run back into you and Donna, it has been a day or two since the CPA 2 dayers. I will keep lookn for that Champion out there with those two happy people just a floating. See ya man!!
  4. Try the Lateral Perch this thing is awesome!!! The fact that it lays flat makes it perfect for that little flopping around Gill getting to ready to be wacked by some big on bass!!
  5. All these white river lakes are fishing awesome!!!!! I did fish the OPEN last week and if any of yall seen a purple basscat flyn around I hope yall seen the OAF sticker aswell!! (Thank you Phil).. What a stacked amount of weights. Even when you try catch bigger fish you still catch alot of good size keeper fish. I only live abt 3hrs away in north arkansas but hardly get to make the trip much due to work, but hey yall have a gem!! That lake is crankin out health fish and sacks of them if we can keep the food in there all these lakes should do well. Everybody was very nice and the St Park staff was great as usual. I always love it when Table Rock is on the OPEN secdule even if I cant sleep in my own house I still feel close to home thanks to all of yall!!
  6. Was wondering where the mudline was and if anybody has been out some pics would be nice. I was out last sat night from 5pm till 11pm and it was good the whites were starting to bust alittle and the bass were beginning to hit a single spin. Was thinking of putting off house stuff and hittting the water agian!!!
  7. So I get to thinkin which usually (doesn't help, But if a mouse spinnerbait works as well as it does would a mouse buzzbait work?? What the thoughts of the masses out there and is the wind and the added rain helping the bite yet?? Thanks in advance
  8. Thanks Bill I have always used the regular 2D mode and had some sucess. I don't have a big graph up front and was thinking it would be cool with the DI but I understand yalls statements. I would like the map and the graph both togather I do that at the console for marking. Are yall still catching some that way!!
  9. Thanks for the imput thats way I said "very dim light bulb"
  10. This may fit better some where else, but your guys are the best?? So here goes, I have a Humminbird 997 SI with the DI added last year and it is at the dash with transducer at the back. And I love it but, how does the down imaging work with spooning/dropshoting or does it work??? I can follow the spoon and even see the whole setup when I'm dropshotting with my smaller front unit (HB 788 not DI). But that very dim light blub in my head finally went off the other day about using maybe a DI unit for this??? Can you see the spoon/dropshot and what do the fish look like coming up. I'm fairly confident with technique but don't use it as much as you guys do. I don't get to fish table rock as much as need to. Thanks in advance for all your replies.
  11. Just wondering how much it took I couldn't make it that way this weekend??
  12. Went out early today 5:30-11 Had 2 nice Saugar (1st in a long time) 1 big crappie and lots of nice bass (spot and LMB) with the biggest hit the mark at 3.25lbs. SMB were all small with only 1 in the 14.5' range. Water temp 72.5 and we was on the south end at Hardy. Small worms and jigs .

Anybody had any luck yet dropping a light at night yet. Working to much to get out on the water and was looking for a little advice?? Thanks in advance. It also doesn't matter on species Whites to Eyes will work the best if I had a choice??
  14. I'm from about 3 hrs away in north Ark and I ran under it yesterday @ 9-10am on the branson side. I was prefishing for the OPEN and I don't think a boat would have fit under the (blue eye side)then. It was wild fishing let me tell you!! Great day Monday and not so good tus then when I got the word I head bk home and to work. I did fish a CPA there in 08 when it was like this time it just seems to happened faster. Hope everyone stays safe. Everybody was really great just like normal when I'm up there.
  15. After the (spg cradinals) game sat I thought I might venture down to T B and fish for bass from cow to cricket creeks I know a big area?? I have been keeping up with the reports and sounds like I'm missing out right now, to much work not enough fishn!! What do ya'll think about Sunday with sunny skies mid 70's and a south wind around 12 (forecasted). I'm not to good at catching cruisers and really like to flip up long creek when it is on but it sounds like I need to stay more main lake. Spinnerbait Redfin C-rig what do I do??? Thanks for the reports great forum and good people
