looking for best place to get a new cable - working on getting a 1984 17' Lowe going. cable is about 12' and looks like this and motor is 70hp Evinrude. someplace close to joplin would be great

yes it looked like waterline on bank was several feet low actually had to push canoe in at pit 4 after that it was good, water was clearer on 4 than the others

I went Sat fished pits 4, 14, 27 caught a couple channel cats some bluegill and some small bass.most of the storms went around until late in the day

Has anyone been there to fish lately?

I took canoe put in last Sat at 160 paddled up Turnback ,going upstream was no problem fish were not biting but carp were all over the banks and water was muddy.

I took off today went cherry corner to lime kiln mostly just floating fished a little, I'm gonna say cherry corner is out for a newb that s curve now almost a u turn also couple more spots that I'll float not sure I'd try to take family until they're much more comfortable in a canoe. also i can't even count how many times I scraped rocks or trees and thats just with me and my pack canoe and I don't take much with me.I hope it rains soon or shoal may be a walking trip instead of floating trip.

1 more day and I'm off for 2 weeks woo hoo

I bet if you pick a sat or sunday and let us know ahead of time you would have company floating any of those sections b4 taking the family.

I keep hoping to go but stuff keeps coming up. will def try to go soon, vacation starts fri 18th - fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong.

well Shoal is close for me if no interest no problem I was just checking as my vacation time starts in about 3 weeks and I will be floating anyway

I made it past East middle today looks like some of roof is gone and I heard the gym is gone.rumor has it they will have it ready for school.I was over by 20th and conneticut today helping clear a driveway for a guy at work and people magazine came thru to interview.

I went up to LaRussell access today fished a little , water is still more than I wanted to float by myself maybe the storms will ease up for next week.I did see several gar in slough across island from the access no bites though.

yes it needs a stream team I'm in for that.I had a longer response after seeing what happened last week on shoal with annual float but deleted b4 I posted it..

I believe that if someone interferes or harrasses with a person fishing within the banks of a stream or river that has been accessed by way of a public boat launch put in by the Missouri Department of Conservation, then the harrasser/interferer should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The state of Missouri has laws in place to keep this from happening and yet it still happens all the time. The only way to stop this type of harrassment and intimidation is to punish the law breakers. This stream, Shoal Creek, has obviously been deemed navigatable by someone in the higher powers of the states government, or the MDC would not have put in, not just one, but five public boat launches on the stream in order for the public to navigate, explore, fish, and clean up trash and debris on the stream. I, Mark Warren resident and taxpayer in Newton County, strongly demand that something be done in order to correct this wrong doing and to insure that it does not happen again
