  1. In (again) before the lock.
  2. Those Gamis sure are sharp. I've tied few dozen white bass flies on them in the last couple of weeks and they are sharp enough that I feel it but, it doesn't always hurt. At first. Then the next thing I know my thumb is throbbing and my fly is covered in blood.
  3. It's been discussed enough that the big brother advertisements have started displaying ads for CCW.
  4. Edit: He had some fancy name for a Rapala knot. Not sure how I missed out on it with all of the gear fishing back when.
  5. Ha, you beat me to it. I couldn't remember the name either.
  6. Well I didn't want to steal your fame, so I quit. Cold turkey. I keed. I was turned on to another knot by a fishing buddy. I can tie it much more quickly.
  7. I used a perfection loop up until about a month ago for all of my streamer fishing.
  8. So you come in here with your bullspit biology and I don't buy it so that makes me a keyboard jockey? Mkay. Also, please enlighten us as to what states have recently canceled their mtn. lion season.
  9. I don't think anyone will complain about you adding real content. I know I am digging your flies. These types of flies are a style I haven't tied..
  10. Yeah and then your new best friend will paddle along right beside you for the rest of the trip and try to smoke up all of your weed. Forget that. When I carry on rivers I open carry. The AR15 slung across my back is an equalizer in just being there. If you keep the magazine full and the chamber empty it's plenty safe around the kids. My five year old doesn't have the manual dexterity to engage the charging handle and the 4 month old's drool won't have any ill effects on the weapons effectiveness as long as I leave the optic covers on. The only real downfall is it's uncomfortable when you sit down and lean back and there is a learning curve for casting (especially double hauls) with it on your back. [sarcasm/]
  11. I'm familiar with what the raft looks like, what I am curious about is the condition that your raft is in.
  12. I knew there was no point in reading beyond here:
  13. Nah, I accounted for that. I can test the first one when I am 1/3 of the way done with the second...
  14. I like it. What size dumbbell eyes did you use?
  15. Nice fly tie. Sally dries pretty quick. If you tie one fly then another one, the first one will be ready to sink test by the time the second one is done.
  16. I like that big testing tank you have.
  17. #1 is a switch rod blank and components to build. Then I have a 10wt blank that I need components for to build on. I would like to get a glass blank or two as well as a ratty but complete bamboo rod to rebuild. I would also like to pick up a couple complete glass rods. I need to upgrade my vise and buy stock in tying materials too. Oh and I need a 2wt line for a build I am about wrap up. Cheesy pun no extra cost.
  18. 1) Take my son from roll casting to overhand casting and teach him to mend if he is still interested in fly fishing this summer. 2) Chase some toothy critters. 3) Practice my own casting so I can stay ahead of the curve if #1 takes off so I don't get out done by a five year old. 4) Build on fiberglass blanks. 5) Build a switch rod. 6) Become proficient with said switch rod. 7) Spend solid DAYS perusing temperates. 8) Fish new water. 9) Fish more often 10) Take more and better pictures and video. In no particular order after #1...
  19. Do you have any pictures of your raft? Is is the package that Sea Eagle offers with the accessories? Does it have a casting bar?
  20. Nice fish and beards all around.
  21. Nice report. I love fishing the one of the two unnamed stream that I know which one you were on. Thanks for not naming names.
  22. Just spend a couple nights by Jonhson's Shut Ins and you are guaranteed to hear a breeding pair. They are supposed to mate every other night. If you are lucky you may even see some frolicking in a field in low light! So I hear. :D
  23. I have yet to see a post on this forum anywhere that says that anyone feel like the should? I was only using the words the OP threw around.
  24. It's not a gray area, but is often not understood or known by the land owner that E v. D does entitle the public to be on a gravel bar out of the water to take a leak, camp or party. You are correct in your statement that you "can't run up the bank" if you are implying up out of the river bed onto private land.
  25. Go to www.soundcloud.com and search for any song you want and dubstep ( ie Twinkle Twinkle Litle Star Dubstep). Fair warning, there will be a ton of results and lots of duplicates. Also some are a lot more dubstep than the one you used but I have found some that are in the sweet spot as far as original song/dubstep ratio goes that I plan to use in some of my weak GoPto videos if I can ever get out and get some footage.
