Floated from Norfork to Calico Rock in the duck boat on Saturday. It was a great way to beat the heat. Love that stretch of river and caught a bunch of good fish on CD-7s and 9s.

Bought my stamps. Also got drawn for South Dakota waterfowl. Counting the days til early teal.

I agree the Ozarks are a hiden gem for waterfowl I have a cabin on the Black River in northeast Arkansas. Although there are more ducks over there is also 10 times the amount of pressure 40 or 50 trucks at the ramp. Guides driving up the price to lease farm ground. The 2.5 hour drive to get over there. I have put my place over there up for sale and going to focus my efforts back around home. There are more than enough opportunities within 30 miles of Mountain Home to hunt

Not many ducks on the lake. Got skunked this morning. Saw a few rafted up by the dam, but not as many as I would have thought with this recent cold front.

I would be game. I have at least 3 layout blinds and would love to meet some waterfowlers in the area.

Anyone been out on Lake Norfork lately? My trips to Northeast Arkansas have been less than stellar the past couple weeks. I think I will stick around Mountain Home to duck hunt this weekend.
