  1. I went up to feed the fish with my kids the other day. I noticed that they are keeping a large number of Brook trout in one of the holding areas. Do they release these? If not...what are they for?
  2. You need to check out the wild trout stream section above....there are a lot of post concerning Blue Springs.
  3. I've been fishing BSC about twice a week for 2 years now, it sits 5 minutes from my front door. You are right about the stealth being the most important thing to consider when fishing here. Most of the fish will be under 10 inches....but I have gotten into some real bruisers on that creek. Several 15'-18" fish. One key is to stay out of the water as much as possible. I know the hole you are talking about. In fact it is that very hole where I learned the secret to catching lots of fish at BSC. After several trips out with nothing but snags and a few fingerlings to talk about...I decided to just get up into a tree and watch the fish from above...I don't know what I was thinking, other than I was wanting to figure something out by observation. Long story short I watched that very hole you are talking about for about an hour...just observing the fish. They were all feeding...all were active....why wasn't I catching them. Well...just as I was thinking that, all the fish in the hole (10-15 trout) disappeared. I mean vanished, like they were never there. I was confused as all hell....nothing hit the water, no strange shadow spooked them. A few minutes later a lone fly-fisherman came walking up the middle of the creek. Those fish heard him well before he was close enough to cast...and well before he was thinking of stalking into the hole. Lesson learned. I stay out of the water as much as possible now and have no problem bringing several to hand just about every time I go out. They bite just about anything you throw in there. Good luck.
  4. Never said we should return to a gold standard. Try and free your mind from what the media tells you....I never said anything about Ron Paul. Try to think for yourself. So you will choose fiat...funny...didn't know you had a choice. Fiat currency will fail every-time ..history has proven that time and time again. So what your logic tells me is you will take guaranteed failure over an alternative? Or did you just want to interject.....point a finger at another presumed Paulite. Your last statement might be the dumbest thing I have ever heard said on the subject of a gold standard.
  5. Didn't say we were going extinct. Back in the 60's our currency was backed by gold. Our coins where made of silver. What backs that paper in your pocket now?
  6. You would think Jerry. But here is the skinny....there is no budget or proposal that can stop this crash...the train has already left the station.
  7. You bet Jeb! Few people understand just how dire our situation really is. This is the single biggest problem facing the american people.
  8. In the month of February the US federal debt increased $254 billion. That’s in just one month. This is the only problem that matters at the moment.
  9. Thank you for your response AL, your thoughts are always appreciated. Double thanks for taking the time to view the vids. Well if you don't believe it can happen...then I guess it can't. Then again, some people couldn't believe a society could function without slaves...after all if we free the slaves who will pick the cotton. Overcoming indoctrination is hard and takes real work. That is why most don't attempt it. They just go along with the status-quo, but it doesn't take everyone being on board to have real change. Only 20% of the population supported the founders opposing the British. I am sure the other 80% were either apathetic or just couldn't see a society functioning without a monarchy. After all, there has to be some kind of King...we have always had a King, some were better than others...but always a King. How could we change, people need a King.....ect. “You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew.”--Albert Einstein
  10. Ok..last one for anyone who really wants to understand the truth.
  11. “You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew.”--Albert Einstein There is is in a nutshell. Those of you who still want to to try and work the problems we face, while trapped inside the system that created the problems to begin with, will never find a real solution. Good luck.
  12. I never mentioned God. Don't confuse "priest" with God. Or is this a real question...not just a quip? Is God a superstition? I guess you would have to define God to me, before I could answer the question. Do you mean the God of Hinduism, Muslims, Christians, Catholics, or Buddhist?
  13. Fundamentally we haven't changed much in our philosophical views. Aside from our technology, we are still a bunch of people being lead around by the superstition peddlers. Politician: We can't rule ourselves. Priest: You can't rule yourself. Banker: Your too stupid to figure all this out. We have to grow up and drop our silly superstitions.
  14. Wrench...couldn't agree more. Nothing will change. As for the woulda-coulda-shoulda...I disagree. I believe I might be the only one posting that is trying to strike at the root of the cancer. Which is: 1.Apathy. 2. A total lack of understanding of how our monetary system works. 3. The false belief that our government works for us. Now change will happen...mind you ...when the pain of 1,2 and 3 set in full board. What will it change into is anyone's guess.
  15. Glad to see this Skeeter. This however is a symptom and not the disease. The disease is how our money is created and distributed.....the above vid you posted outlines one of the many consequences of the present system.
  16. Now this makes sense. Best post on the board.
  17. "I guess I did call your idealogy a little crazy so a personal attack is probably fair play." It's not an ideology. Just truth. If the facts would point me in another direction I would gladly go where they lead. "But it seems to me that you just rattle off quotes and statements bordering on anarchy without any effort to actually explain them. Humor me. I'm obviously not as informed as you are, so please explain the relevance of that quote and help me understand why you feel the way you do. I'm open minded. You might be surprised." Yes, I believe in no rulers....I don't explain because I cannot compress the last 6 years of my thought process into a quick blurb. The relevance of the quote is to point people in the direction of the REAL problem in this country...and it has nothing to do with how we spend the money. Is it your position that we should pay taxes? No Taxes...taxes are force...force is wrong unless in self defense. Are there certain functions of government that you don't think are proper government functions? No government I believe you are sincere and not just trolling, but you haven't said much of anything to support what you say. I couldn't be more sincere, but I am a kinda smart butt. You haven't suggested an alternative other than to call us all cows, sheep, or whatever. Once again can't compress 6 years into a comment...but there is an exhaustive amount of literature on the alternatives. No, I am not a hippy-dippy, commune...can't we all just love...kinda guy. I see the DOW at an all time high. There is no volume in the market...ie. NO COMMITMENT....this is all smoke and mirrors as the FED pumps liquidity into the system. Today, the market continued its rally based on employment statistics. That's what the media tells you...this is a lie. Think for yourself. There are still folks who are so willfully ignorant that they will say we are in a "recession," but all of the leading economic indicators say we're doing better than we ever have. There are no real economic factors that tell me this...the DOW is not an economic factor...hasn't been since the mid-80's. Please, don't tell me that you think inflation is running at 2%...it is not. Better than we ever had? We are at a 20 year low in wage earning. It's not government double-speak either. It's reality. We still have major debt and budget issues to face, and ideological battles to fight in that regard. It is all government double speak. We cannot and will not ever pay down the debt...ever. Its a mathematical impossibility. I know that you have no idea what I am talking about...so you will have to research "fractional reserve banking"....and all the while....when we debate if we should cut this...raise that tax....pass this or that law...the debt keeps mounting and mounting. Interest rates are running like 2.5%.....an all time low. What happens to the interest payments of this nation when the rates rise to say 5%? Or near 20% like in the 80's? Hmmmmmm....we will default as a nation. But I can live where I want, do the work I want to do, fish where I want, buy the boats I want, drive the truck I want, take the vacations I want, and live as comfortably as I want. Free range cattle produce more milk. I've done well in the market over the last couple of years. I'm a little skeptical because it doesn't all feel right, so I've given up some growth in exchange for buying puts on leveraged index funds since I feel like we're going to get a decent correction at some point between now and October. "The few who understand the system, will either be so interested from it's profits or so dependant on it's favors, that there will be no opposition from that class." -- Rothschild Brothers of London, 1863 I grew up in a family that paid taxes. Taxes are not paid...they are extracted. I worked hard and got head-hunted twice because of my work. I can literally do anything I want to do. I guess I don't want to kill people, steal stuff, or evade taxes, so in my mind that makes me pretty free. I hate paying taxes as much as the next guy...particularly 7.65% of my income to subsidize the retirement and medical care of older people. But in the grand scheme of things, the United States is really a pretty great place to live. Maybe that means I'm just getting led around like livestock, but I guess I'll take the country club, boating, fishing, and secure retirement lifestyle that goes with it. This is just you justify the corrupt/murdering/robbing system...because...hey you're comfortable. If the zombie apocalypse kicks off or the "government" starts attacking me with drones in the next few decades, then I suppose you can tell me you told me so. The government has already killed Americans with drones....where have you been? The country club? One of which was only 16 years old...born in Colorado. If you really want to start thinking for yourself I suggest you start here:
  18. I don't think from thatb perspective...I come from a clarity of what real freedom is...all the rest is just noise.
  19. Ok...give me a sec. I'm going to try and break it down. I hit and run on the keyboard mainly because I hate typing. I just want to spark some honest thought...I have no interest in the regurgitation of what the media/government tells people. So check back in a bit. I am going to cut and paste from your above comment, with answers.
  20. I doubt it. The thing is...it is absurd. That's just it.....any attempt to apply logical, critical thinking skills into the system (state) will leave your head whirling. Which is the point of it all. "A great industrial nation is controlled by it's system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world--no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." — President Woodrow Wilson
  21. Can't help you man...your state worship is to deeply entrenched. I'm not going to try and explain the analogy.
  22. Your state worship is strong. I feel sorry for you. Answer a quick question...please... Do you own yourself?
  23. Please elaborate Wrench....is this what you believe or are you being sarcastic?
  24. Here's another one (if you don't know who Karl Rove is...there is no reason to read on....it's to late for you: "We’re an empire now and when we act we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality judiciously, as you will, we’ll act again, creating other new realities which you can study too. And that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors and you, ALL of you, will be just left to study what we do.” ----- Karl Rove speaking to a small group of reporters at a cocktail party in 2004...... printed in the Washington Post.
  25. I agree it is very hard to get people to give up their superstitions.
