  1. I have for sale a Humminbird 678c HD that was bought this past November, on my boat 2 months, maybe used 3 times . I replaced it after I decided I wanted a side imaging HB 998. Price is $300. obo. My phone number is 816 807 0096
  2. Seth, it arrived today, its a HB998C HD SI Combo. I need to get it down to Anglers Port and get it installed.
  3. Seth, Thanks for the heads up about BBG Marine, I had been looking for the lowest price on a Humminbird 998, and they had it. So I just bought myself one. Thanks again, Kenny
  4. Seth, Thanks for the report, I grew up on the river below the lock and dam, sadly I know nothing about the river above it except what I've what I've heard. I have heard a lot of nice cats are taken out of that hole. I believe they dredged gravel out of that hole for years and years. I have caught walleye out from the mouth of the Maries in that deeper water right out from the mouth. Good Fishing Kenny
  5. Seth, Never mind I see you are at Owensville.
  6. Seth If you can get to the mouth of the Osage, try right where the muddy Missouri river water and the clearer osage come together, try to keep your line as close to vertical as possible. I have at times had to use a 1 ounce jig to do this, lift your jig/minnow about 4-6 inches, hold it just off the bottom for 10-15 seconds drop it to the bottom and repeat. Sometime the hammer it and sometime its just a tap. I'd say this method would work at the mouth of any of the larger rivers that feed into the Missouri. Where do you live Seth? KennyB
  7. The bass were mostly small but I did manage 2 that were about 3 pounds apiece.
  8. Seth, Chartreuse lead head jig and minnow is the common was to catch sauger this time of year. I have caught them on Lindy Rigs this time of year too. I have set minnow traps in holes in creeks and caught big minnows for bait as large minnows are sometimes hard to get this time of year. KennyB
  9. RB Back in the early 70's my dad brought home some Jack Salmon he caught in his hoop nets. One was a big old female about 15 pounds or so. It had another walleye in its belly at least 14 inches long. They are cannibalistic for sure. I wish they would have taken a picture of that fish. I used some of those Rapala Jigging Raps today off some docks down by Bagnall Dam, I couldn't keep the bass off them. Caught a couple of crappie on them too. KennyB
  10. I did a little crappie fishing off some docks near Bagnall Dam today and was using 11/2 inch yellow and white jigging rap, it was crazy how the bass were all over it. I did catch some crappie off it but I couldn't keep the bass away. They were clobbering it on the fall. If you want to have some fun try some of these ice fishing lures this winter. I tipped the nose hook with a crappie nibble too. Kenny
  11. Thanks you Ranger, I'll give it a try.
  12. Ranger I'm fishing the Long Shoal area. Thanks for the reply. Kenny
  13. Hey thanks for all the helpful advice y'all.
  14. Sorry to hear of your loss, I hope your gear is recovered soon, and you get some justice.
  15. It would be nice to get some crappie reports from Truman once in a while. Really what I need is some help figuring out a pattern. What makes crappie hold in one spot and not another in the winter I'm just learning about winter crappie myself, my efforts last week netted a total of one crappie in 2 trips to the lake, so you can see I have a bit of a learning curve to get past. Maybe we can get a little conversation going? Kenny
