The first pattern you made works really well on crappie with sink tip, but you have to make them a lot smaller. Just thought I tell you.

I have done something similar with carp at the Lake of the Ozarks you can make a egg fly in the same color as the food pellet and make it sink or make one that floats by adding floaty stuff (forgot what it is called) works great on carp where they feed them. I'm sure it would work on the trout

I often fish at the Lake of the Ozarks for blue gill with my flyrod. Besides the mackie bug and foam flies, what are some other good choices that i can tie because the fish around my dock are getting used to seeing those flies and i keep having to put on smaller and smaller tippit. Thanks a lot! PS links or picturs would be great
