  1. Last night's fishing report: Clinton Lake Dam, NE Kansas.... Didn't catch a darn thing. Gotta get a HIBERNATOR, got to have a HIBERNATOR...please, please Leonard....a HIBERNATOR. (wink, wink ol' buddy) (But hey, if you could ship me a HIBERNATOR under the cover of darkness) Here we go again.......z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z
  2. I once built a studio in the basement. Am a photog. Two things: White colored ceilings and walls can be a nice bounce fill for your lights BUT the bounce can work against you in a small room if you are trying to carefully controll your light to specific directional applications.
  3. Good answer Thom! Do have to ask myself though (which I did following the send button on my previous post) why fish are so turned on by RED on flies and lures (blood)??
  4. Have also heard that fish don't see the red spectrum of light as easily....?? Any fish optometrist out there to verify?
  5. ...and they all lived happily ever after.
  6. Have fished with Leonard for a couple years now.... He just continues to amaze!
  7. Are you guys talking about the guide whose company truck is usually in the parking lot (not van)? If so, is there more than one guide working for that particular service? If everyone is talking about the same person and the offenses are frequent, perhaps names should be mentioned.
  8. Congrats Leonard. Blessings to your family. Have you made her sea horses yet?
  9. Can't say for sure Ryno but I have a theory. Methinks that when the water is moving fast enough that we can no longer see those big fish...they get real tight below us and whizz on our feet. Can't really be sure, just a feeling. Probably does not answer your question
  10. Dandy photo there J. Hate them bugs though. Serious biters. Still, interesting to see and your photo is great.
  11. "Oh no, there goes Taneyco..uh-oh...GODZILLA" Gonna be hell to pay when the squid shows it's self.
  12. Driving a silver Chevy Trailblazer...Ks tags, JF county. Just there Thursday night (late) for a few hours. Then heading to Ark.
  13. 10-4 Leonard. I'll be there 9 ish (pm) Had that baby yet
  14. Heading down to Conclave Thursday. Considering some pole dance'n that night at TaneyCo on the way down. Any of the slooooo strippers still in town then?
  15. RE: Club trip Not sure about the club Dano...though now that you mention, think I'll try to organize one. I generally try to come down for sure the week between Christmas and New Year(weather permit). That could be an opportunity. Yeah, I know about the New Year day OAF deal. Just don't think that works as well for us (me) what with family and football on that holiday (for those of us with drive issues). Yankees and the potential for ice....gotta be sober. Speaking of family values The weekend with the wife to the tailwater area convinced her that we could fish and shop on the same timetable....sooooo....looks like more trips to the friday night strip club are in order. Looking forward Thinking I will hit TanneyCo for a night fish, the Thursday night of Conclave on my way through.
  16. ...for a few minutes this weekend. Mostly a tourist trip for the wife. May hit the tailwater for an hour or so. At least a little parking lot BS if nothing else tonight with the sloooo-strippers. Driving a silver, late model Trailblazer...Kansas tags. If ya see it, holler and say HI. OTHERWISE, see you at Conclave.
  17. Leonard, before you toss your camera, try shooting at a slight angle to the fish/water. Looks to me like you were directly above the fish shooting straight on at a highly reflective surface. Sometimes that light bounceing straight back at the camera will tell the flash to shut off too soon due to the spectoral highlights of the wet fish/water/rocks. Not unlike shooting directly into glass.
  18. Dang it Leonard. Here I was, sitting up North with one of your PMS's you gave me and feeling smug. Now I might as well just throw it in the lake. (You didn't reveal the secret "secret" part did you) The first fibber don't stand a chance....
  19. I'll be there in "spirit" Leonard. In fact, I will hoist a cool brew in honor of your Taneyco night round about midnight... sit'n in my easy chair. Call my cell if you hook a big'un and I'll coach you through the catch'n part.
  20. 10-4 on what you said Thom. Leonard knows his stuff. He put me on the fish and the fly a couple weeks ago. Never to old to learn a few new tricks and Night Angler taught this ol dog some new strips.
  21. Terry/DuckyDude: Just send $25 and your vitae and you will both be moved straight to the head of the list. * Residence of Missouri, no pennies please. Offer expires December 32, 2008. Not valid with any other coupons.
  22. See you there Da....ooops, that was last week. Guess I've used all of my out-of-state fishing credits untill Conclave. Sigh. Good fishing to you Dan, catch a big'n. Remember: "strip, strip, lift leg, spin around......set the hook"!
  23. Guys, move slowly away from the computer.....NOW. Let it go.
  24. KsFlyFisher, are you part of the MAKO club that operates down your way? Last summer, I drove down from Lawrence to the strip pits for a fishing adventure that MAKO sponsored. Thought perhaps you were there...might have met.
  25. Those fish recognize you TB. They are afraid to open their mouths. Might consider a disquise. Some of those glasses with the big nose. A clown suit perhaps. Fish love clowns.
