I don't know how they can not let you use it. The permit you buy is not for a specific ramp, it pays for all core ramps. They cannot make up their own set of laws.

do you have to motor to racetrack hollow, or is there a ramp closer. I have never fished that area and am going off someone elses suggestion.

Would like to schedule a crappie fishing trip with family around race track hollow at the end of oct. or beginning of nov. Or glaize arm, where would a decent place to lay your head for 2 or 3 days be, for three adults? Thanks for any help. Dave

Mo state code 306.125 Vessels shall not be operated within 100 ft of any dock, pier, occupied anchored boat or buoyed restricted area on any lake at a speed in excess of slow-no-wake speed. There are some more strict codes for jet skies in particular. Mo.state code 306.221 No person shall operate or otherwise position a vessel or other object or any person in such a manner as to obstruct or impede the normal flow of traffic on the waters of this state. Any person who violates this subsection for the first offence is guilty of a class c misdemeanor, upon the second is a class b misdemeanor. (not sure what the charge code is) too tired to look it up.

is that the same as miller hollow cove? my map shows a marina there, but doesn't say anything about a ramp.

Are there boat ramps where there are marina's? trying to find closer ramps to get to racetrack hollow or tantara area off of 54.

Thanks for the tip, we did not not try there. This was my secong trip up there and really don't know the area.

went today and put in at state park, fished several docks up to the brige and a couple bluffs. We could not get any bites, water temp was 39.5.

couldn't agree more about not spending your money down there! I know of a family that would participate in the Baja every year until this year. On there way home they were stopped by people in cop uniforms, they had weapons pointed at their head while on their knees in the ditch. They lost their entire racing operation and felt lucky to be left alive. They had to walk several miles and were rescued by the embassy.
