Put in at Joe bald at 3:00 pm and fished until dark. Found a couple nice small mouth around a dock, then right before dark I started fishing the bluffs with a spoon, managed two nice Kentucky's. Only had about 30 min. into the bluffs but the bite seem to be good. Water temp was 42 on the rocks and 38 on the main points.

I'm glad you mentioned Louisiana. Every time I have been down there fishing, when another boat comes by you in a channel, they will slow to an idle and not even cause a wake. I wish some of their courteous ways would come this far north. I don't know why, but it seems the farther north you go, the less courteous it is. Thanks for the report.

Has anybody heard of this cove? It's supposed to be near buzzard cove, but I can't find it on the map. Also supposed to be some white bass action there.???

we made it up there on sat. Man what a beautiful day, put in at state park and found most of them at the docks before you go under the bridge. Had our limit in about 2 hrs. wasn't any monsters, but averaged 10". didn't find racetrack hollow?? Might take a few trips to find out where the big ones hide. Thanks for all the tips. Dave

I know a couple trust worthy guys that live down there, but I would hate to post their number on a public forum without asking them first. They do all kinds of handy work, including maintenance.
