  1. we went last weekend to 11 point and it was the first encounter with jet boats. the folks were nice enough and saw them helped swamped people. but the wake and tearing around back and forth multiple times are what get me. i had a jet too on the black river. never seen the need to tear back and forth. don't see how the wake is less at full plane. maybe slow down to a crawl. none of my buddies who canoe 11 point, upper current, white river, norfork can stand jetboats. it might enable folks to catch more fish, but could you have done it without a jetboat? i would like to see them off the smaller streams.
  2. i won't read any politics on here as i'm glad our conservation dept is removed from such. sad to see some people have a micro message in the topics. shows me they are wanting to broadcast their politics on here and not fishing. i try to ignore those comments and skip them. facebook is just about taken over by politics. if you think that it's that important to tell someone what party you belong to, do you do it with your religion, ethniticity, baseball team, football? just wondering. the best christians i know, never told me they are one. the people who tell me what party they belong to or ask what i am, rarely are.
  3. never fished the little red, but heard it's great. i go to 11 point a few times a year. will holler up next time. don't get on here much.
  4. not sure how we communicate? i see now that you are a long way away from here. wow. sorry.
  5. i have a remington express magnum. (that's what's on barrell) the barrel is 27.25 where it comes out of reciever. gun is 47 in. tip of barrel to end of stock. 48 to the end of bitch pad. synthetic. gun is 4 years old or so and never been fired. have owners manuel.
  6. sent pm to greasy b. hope i did. ha. did everything twice. rookie.
  7. tanks to all you folks for responding!
  8. good info! that is the most i have found. that article looks familiar for some reason. just had shoulder surgery, so i had to winterize camper and it will be awhile before i get to go. dangit!
  9. thanks! when i get to go next time i will holler back the results.
  10. i would like the same info as the first guy. would love to try to catch some walleye on the black below cleatwater dam. bought a jet boat to help myself enjoy the river. staying down there on the weekends as i would like to retire there in afew yrs. i guess they run upstream as on other rivers and congregate below the dams. on the mississippi we used huge jigs with trailer hooks. any suggestions?
  11. i've went to fly rods now,but the longer the better to lift up as much line as poosible out of the water when setting the hook. we use strike indicators over a jig mostly. maybe have a shorty set up for something and a long one set up another. long loomis or white river lites.
