We were at Warsaw last week...they were catching catfish, crappie, bass....yes, I would live there! We saw a lot of deer in the back of trucks, too.

In all my years of fishing, I have never witnessed anything like what we saw this past summer. We were catching crappie off the bank and were sharing the bank with another fellow that we did not know. We had said hello to each other but not much more than that. Another guy pulls up close to us in a boat and starts fishing the same hole that we are. WE did not find it to be a problem because we were all catching fish, but the other guy on the bank didn't seem to like the boat guy being there, because he started throwing rocks at him!! Hundreds of rocks! They said a few choice words to each other and the man in the boat finally left. I go fishing to relax....this was not my most relaxing fishing trip.

I took my wife and the two oldest grandsons spoon-billing for the first time in the spring of '09. We were snagging below the 65 bridge there in Warsaw. Had a great time. Wife snagged her first spoonbill and the boys got their limit!! They are officially hooked on snagging. We did not make it up there this year but are planning a trip in the spring.

For any of you that love the Gasconade and have thought that you would like to build your dream home or cabin on it, here is your chance. Plenty of room to build on that is out of the flood plain. I have 5 lots (had 7) for sale. They range from 4 to 8 acres apiece. Each lot has a private drive from the gravel road and each lot has river access. The property is within sight of a paved road and is only 15 minutes from I-44. It is located between Dixon and St. Robert, MO in the Riddle Bridge area.
