  1. You know what eats tons of those 5-inch spotted bass? Wrong. Not stripers.... Other black bass!
  2. Not as much availability for this kind of thing as i would like but I would sure try to make it if I can! I have been helped a great deal by this forum and the good folks on it.
  3. Plenty of stripers and walleye in the tailwaters today... http://youtu.be/OjpPz_YWZhM
  4. Try fly fishing for them at night in the tailwaters... Here is some underwater video of what I saw there this afternoon... These guys knew I was there and wouldn't bite anything. There were two schools of roughly 30 stripers swimming together with one or two absolute HOGS swimming alone. I couldn’t get video of the big ones since they were hard to spot, but I would bet they could challenge the state record. http://youtu.be/OjpPz_YWZhM
  5. Whatcha catchin?
  6. Yes. Lost Bridge South Corps Park has access and a ramp.
  7. Peacock Bass here would help me scratch one off my bucket list!
  8. Take a look at this page.... http://ar.water.usgs.gov/buffaloriver/ 30 miles is a LONG float for a weekend... if you float like I do.
  9. Maybe I've been watching too much Jeremy Wade - River Monsters.
  10. Bull shark.
  11. I know. Couldn't resist. Nobody likes throwing back a fish that probably won't make it though. It hurts.
  12. Buzz bait? wow!!!
  13. Is that more painful than being jerked out of the water by a treble hook in the lip? Fish is fish.
  14. Right now no weight. When you want to get deeper you can use a barrel weight where your "leader" starts.
  15. So I have not used down riggers before. Is the dial on the side how deep you are? Do they have to sell together? Over $100 cash is more difficult for me to launder!
  16. $60 for both or each?
  17. Make sure to use a bead or other stop so the board doesn't slide down to the bait when you get a fish on.
  18. If you want to catch fish go to Table Rock or better yet a farm pond. If you want a journey and a challenge, learn to catch them on Beaver.
  19. WHoop! Nice going!
  20. Just because you have title to a lot of land does not mean you have money... especially in Marion County.
  21. Thanks for sharing the info... I'm interested to know how this turns out. Please ignore the incessant whining and keep us updated.
  22. That's cool. I haven't floated that last stretch but was considering it this year. How many nights do you spend on that stretch? We float EXTREMELY slow!
  23. When you say "outproduces" maybe you just mean it is "easier?" Did Beaver Lake "outproduce" for 1st Place Matt Arey in the FLW and "underproduce" for everyone else or did he just figure her out for those four days when others didn't? Actual Facts: 2014 Black Bass Tournament Winning Weights Tablerock Bassmasters April 3-6: 61 lbs Beaver FLW April 10-13: 59 lbs The difference is 2 lbs over an average of 20 keepers = 0.10 lb/fish -> This means that fish weighed in during tournaments 1 week apart under similar conditions by professionals were 1.6 oz per fish heavier on Tablerock. Is this the "outproducing" you blame on hundreds of thousands of predator fish up to 60 lbs with voracious appetites?
  24. So what did you catch the smallies on?
  25. Right on. There is hope! Anyone who doesn't believe that should go have lunch in the cafeteria with some 2nd graders. You'll leave with a fresh outlook and a smile on your face.
