Fished out of Aunts Creek this morning for about three hours, the submerged island at the mouth of Aunts Creek to be specific, caught about thirty KB all except two were good keeper size fish. Fished drop shot directly below the boat in 20 to 30 feet of water

I usually don't fish weekends but my son came in from St. Louis to visit and fish with me, so we fished the island across from the swing bluff from 6:00 to 10:00 this morning. Fished drop shot vertical 20 to 25 feet of water caught somewhere around fifty Kentucky Bass.

Fished from7:00 to noon today caught a lot of KB, water temp 85 a lot of trash on the surface nothing big. Aunts Creek ramp and parking on the low side under water, high side ramp and parking OK. Fished drop shot 25' deep vertical on the bottom. Can't say exactly where I was fishing, ha ha

First I would like to thank the guys that sent me PMs that used my advise to catch a few fish. Fished the same point Monday and had a very good trip with about thirty KB with twelve of them being keepers. All fish caught on drop shot twenty feet of water on the bottom, very close to a drop off to deeper water and a tree line. Those of you that know the lake can see exactly where we were fishing.

She has already ask me if I would take her and her dad fishing again next week. If I remember I started fishing some fifty years ago with a can of worms a cane pole and a bobber.

This was this girls second fishing trip ever and her dad fishes maybe two times a year, next time I'll hand them a Ned rig and say have fun.

I don't think there's a lack of keeper size Kentucky Bass in TR. fished out of Aunts Creek 6/25 caught over fifty, 7/1 caught 72 my brother kept track with my crappie clicker counter. Fished today slow day only caught 40 off the water at noon all of these days

I also went down to Beaver Creek, not really anywhere to unload there either without backing your truck and trailer in the water off the road.

That looks just like the one I made tacos out of

We thought we would catch catfish and maybe a walleye but it didn't happen, so many bass in the lake it's crazy. We were fishing straight down below the boat and didn't move more than fifty feet all morning.

If you are C and R or Tournament fisherman please don't read this post. My brother and I fished the point across from the bluff swing and island this morning out of Aunts Creek and caught at least fifty Kentucky Bass in the two and a half to three and a half pound range, I swear not a fish story. If you want to put your kids on some big hard pulling fish or just want to catch fish for a Fourth of July fish fry here's what we did. Fish 18' to 28' deep with night crawlers on a drop shot rig. Fish were still biting when we left at noon.

Yessir that was me, that's where I'll be the rest of the summer, there and Taney

Water temp. 80, fish in 20 to as deep as 50'. Drop shot a lot of fish if you really want to catch a bunch put a night crawler or a shiner on your drop shot. Point 10, submerged island across from the bluff swing, and submerged island off of point 9. Fish are deeper than you would think so don't hesitate fishing 50' deep.

Your profile picture will get you crucified on this forum, you might as well filet a litter of puppies. Good fishing Paul

I agree Grumpy, I started this thread to help the guys on the forum catch an extra fish or two. It turned into a crap storm, it use to be you meet a fisherman you could bet on that being a good person, not so much any more. I've been fishing all my life and raised my son to be a good fisherman. Here's a couple of pictures, one of me on my Dads lap and one of my now 27 year old son catching a KB twenty some years ago, so I don't it's that big a deal if once a year my buddy wants me to help him catch enough fish for a fish fry. I don't keep LM or SM but anything else will go on the table if I'm in the mood for fish.
