  4. Not at all , your signature appears on posts you do not post about your blog in trout related threads and then make a new thread promoting your blog. i appreciate what live2fly is doing with the podcast once again and applaude the efforts to informpeople on what has surely been a devisive topic on the boards with the felt sole ban, i'm merely clarifying drews point that this thread was likely un necessary with his 2 previous posts in both felt sole ban threads, and given that this thread has basically been de railed surely it has notacheived the desired effect anyway, as an aside i actually stumbled on your blog before i found these boards and enjoy it
  5. its not that he posted the link. its that he posted it three time in three different threads, again, jus clarification lol

  17. thanks for the link mitch , so pomme de terre appears to be my best bet
  18. Looking fir a recipe for a good crayfish fly for the salt river up here, also i have some 1/80th oz jig heads that i use for globall patterns, thought about tying some on there woukd you recommend those or dumbell eyes. i know i want to have that jigging action
  19. Been looking to get started in musky fishing and was just wondering if anyone had a favorite place in MO to start off. any random pointers woukd also be helpful. Also I have seen Pickerel in Montauk State Park, does anyone know how strong populations are in certain stretches of the river and also will a 5 weight flyrod handle a pickerel.
  20. alot of private ponds and alot of people swear by Hunnewell for gills and crappie. no private water craft on Hunnewell or i would love to put the canoe in
  21. This the egg patterns they have at the montauk shop on the micro jig heads are excellent for the current and the entire park , i would also add clousers minnows because they are far and away my favorite streamer for trout, Orange & brown and white both produce well
  22. im guessing you run really fast lol
  23. lol i will have to keep that in mind. About the elks fork i actually dont know, ill have to make it one of my summer goals and let you know. The salt below the rereg is one of my favorite rivers around. We float it for smallies and walleyes and alot of its tributary creeks are really fun to wade in the summer. The corps of engineers has had the actual rereg dam rec area closed for years now working to repair since the 08 flood but when its open it has some excellent fishing for many species. me and a small group of fisherman have been calling weekly to check on the status (and maybe to annoy them a little)
  24. this interests me immensly thanks for the link
