    temps

anyone know water condition and temps for cape fair or dam area. trying to decide where to go Friday.
  11. in at 7:30 out at 11:30. fishing was poor. water 44 to 46 and just dirty. went all the way within a mile of dam and down to masters water got nastier down at masers. crossing turkey and maze water was dirty. noticed as I checked some deeper water lot of clutter down 15 to 20 feet then clear then more clutter 15 foot from bottom. has to be the silt or whatever it is suspended in the water. did mark lot of shad and fish in 30 to fifty foot range and loons diving in that depth also. think i'll wait for clearer and warmer water before trying again. good luck and good fishing.

  13. that's a nice area that's underfished. holds some good bass.
  14. agree with the panfisher. I was up turnback Monday and Thursday water above the bridge was in good shape. throw 2 inches of hard rain in and I suspect it will get muddy. hope to go Thursday probably out of state park looking for bass and maybe a eye that's done with the spawn.
  15. don't know if this is the problem but if you have two sonars on at the same time it can cause interference on both. hope it's this simple.

    cc again

went back to cc and up turnback. went as far as we could get. used clete's boat with him the guide. no love on whites but caught about 15 dink lm's. I did lose on nice walleye at the boat and another one 10 minutes later. saw some whites being caught from the bridge to next big pool down. believe this rain will make a mess next week may go fish dam area. be in a r61 ranger blue green with ozark anglers on the motor give me a shout

I know Aldrich has a ramp but they have a dock. fishing by myself and easier with a ramp. thanks for the info.
  20. there are lots of different plates out there. happy troller, easy troller and trollamatic. the first two are metal. happy troller requires you put plate up and down with a cord. easy troller will kick up on its own. trollamatic is nylon and stays down all the time unless you are running then it will kick up. there are pros & cons for all. trollamatic you don't want to hit anything because it will break. happy troller the cord can be a pain and if you forget to put it up and take off it will bend and can be a mess. the easy troller is more expensive but don't back into anything that also includes the other two. as with all the plates with them down until you get used to them reverse can be a pain. all that being said I just bought a trollamatic but haven't put on boat yet. purchased it because taking off boat is pretty easy $30 to $50 bucks cheaper and did not want to spend a ton then find out a pulled bucket or a trolling bag was better. friend has a happy troller and is very happy with it but forgot to raise and did bend it but managed to pretty well repair it.if you need a real low speed plan on using your trolling motor and I'm talking less than 1.0 mpg. good luck with the one you chose.
  21. anyone tried fishing up the river arms? whats the water color, any ramps cc or highpoint open, whats the temp. seems like some eyes should be staging.

  23. another question for walleye fisherman. do walleye in the white move to beaver dam trying to spawn. this seems to be the norm in most lakes.
  24. thanks for the help. had not thought of lead core. will probably be pulling floaters or jerk baits. running between 2 to 3 mph depending on time of year and water temp. not much into crawlers except maybe throwing on jig head.
