    Went Fishing 06/13/11 and caught 2 LM Bass on jigs. went back on 06/15/11 and caught what looked to be a spotted bass. Can anyone confirm spotted bass in Lake Springfield?

    i was thinking about heading down to the public fishing area at the dam. are the stairs at outlet 2 still there?

    are you talking the ramp there at southwood? if you are i went out tuesday and wednesday on lake springfield and caught one. i saw another gentleman caught a 5 and half pound bass on top water. i myself am trying to learn to fish plastics and top water along with jigs. i saw alot of areas where some big fish moved in the make lake springfield area around vistor center area. the water was not very swift those days. i have a small trolling motor and it did great with my boat.

    I am heading to the Niangua Arm of LOZ and i was wondering how the fishing is and how the water level and color are for the coming weekend. we are staying at a resort and plan on fishing crappie and bass and if something else was biting trying that too we will have a boat. any help would be great. thank you

    i went out a little today. it is stained. murkey didnt look to muddy you can see the green coming back. i will actually go out today to see. alot of people fishing it yesturday

    Has anyone been down to lake Springfield in the last week?

    I saw on the MDC website that the Southwoods access on Lake Springfield is closed due to flood damage. I called today and they said it is on their list and are shooting for it to be done in the next week. They don't know how long though since there was a lot of damage around the area with the floods. They said alot of boaters are ignoring the signs and tearing up trailers. there is rebar exposed and the bottom of the ramp is messed up they think. has anyone launched a boat since the flood? Thoguht id let everyone know.

    I have heard about catfish being caught on Springfield Lake. I was wondering where? I have a boat and wouldn't mind trying to catch some. any tips on catching them? I haven't fished for them since i was a kid.

    I am new to fishing for Crappie with jigs. How do I do it? where around springfield or branson can i get Crappie jigs and what are some popular colors and sizes?

    I was thinking of planning a trip to lake of the ozarks. I have never fished that lake and was thinking about staying at Knotty Pine Resort. Has anyone fished at their enclosed fishing dock? If so have you did any good. is there anywhere arounf that area for good crappie? we will have a boat available. we are thinking the second weekend in may how is the fishing then usually?

    Last year i caught some nice ones on crank baits near the bluffs east of the boat house. I've only had luck with crankbaits. I would post some pictures but i dont know how to.

    I drive Nixa to Branson during my work week and i try to go out fishing after work at 4:30. Did you do your fishing in a boat huck? where did you go on table rock if you were bank fishing?
