  1. WOW.... Phil .. If you need anything Im just minutes away... Prayers for everyone.. Good Luck!
  2. While I was the taking pictures today.... They have already started clearing out the lower holding areas to release the trout... these bends hold the 10-12 in trout... Here is what I heard today... at FULL the turbines can push 15,500 cfs.. everything over that is the spillways.. I was shown a way today to really see how much water was coming though 1 gate open 1 foot (about 10am) ..... it was about 6,780 full bath tubs... that 1 gate per second
  3. No I did not.... sorry....
  4. There is more water now then 2008 This is why HWY 265 has been closed down from Dewey short to Moonshine beach Outlet 1 .. In 2008 the water was half way up the fence the new steps they put in where it washed away.. this is outlet2 bathrooms The road down by the hatchery has been closed off... you have to park at the hatchery to walk down to the lake... Yes they are looking at releasing more
  5. Friday night was a GREAT night to be out... started off with 2 units running and they shut it off around mid-night... Started off with the brown "Heavy Daze" and caught a couple... switch over to a Hibernator (Black and Uv Purple) and a couple more... And the PMS (Olive and in black) as well But then I tried the H20.... and began to hammer them HARD!! Just about every cast was either a hit or a hook up... most of them were between the 13-17inches... as the storms get closer we called a few break and went back to it... Around 2am they really seemed to shut down... so I called it a night Saturday Night.. 2 unit possible 3 the water was really rolling last night Storms came in faster then Friday night.. and the fishing was a little tougher still able to hook up a couple on the H20's and Heavy Daze... the storms just hit to fast to get much fishing in... Hooked up 4 Gary, Bob, and George.. It was great see you guys on the water... Enjoy the flies Leonard
  6. well looks like they held true what they said... Its been off...
  7. NO....... friday and saturday it was suppose to be off and they run 2 all day... Sunday they said 1 to 3 unit from 3pm to 7pm I think it remained off... with more rain coming... I see them running water so... Plan at your own risk...LOL
  8. SWEET!!
  9. Wow what a tough weekend... Friday night blew!!! No.. the fishing didnt suck... the wind hummered us! 2 units of water... wind 18-24 mph (gusting over 35)and overcast/w light rain we fished the Heavy Daze in brown and caught a few... fished the PMS (had the add a bb shot) to cut it through the wind and to get it down caught a few more... and even caught some on the Olive Hibernator.. it was all in the timing... you had to cast between the wind gust.. we were able to hear the wind in the tree tops.. and was able to get the cast out before it blew the line into the banks... Saturday night.. still 2 units running and NO clouds with a full moon... 2nd cast was a fish on the PMS.... Andrew still has not taken the Heavy Daze off his rod since I give it to him last summer...LOL Can that guy catch fish on that fly! Ever time I see him on Taney he has it on there.. we had to call the night short cause my wife got called into work.. I did catch some on the PMS and Hibernator.. in Olive/UV olive.. Black/UV black.. Brown/UV brown.. no hook ups on the Purple/UV purple but had a couple good "tags" on it Tough weekend .. but we had a blast! Leonard

  11. Hey Duane I dont think there is a 1 fish limit on rainbows over 20in... I would hate to see someone take a limit of 4 out.. Special Area Fishing Regulations Lake Taneycomo On the lake and its tributaries: * Brown trout—20” minimum length limit; the daily limit of 4 trout, combined total of both species, may include only 1 brown trout. Within 760 feet below Table Rock Dam: * No fishing is allowed. From the closed zone 760 feet below Table Rock Dam to the mouth of Fall Creek: * Rainbow trout—12” to 20” slot length limit * Pole and line fishing only * Only flies and artificial lures may be used, and soft plastic baits and natural and scented baits are prohibited when fishing for any species. From the closed zone 760 feet below Table Rock Dam to U.S. Highway 65 bridge: * Fishing permit (unless exempt) and a trout permit are required to fish for any species. ******* http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/regulations/special-area-fishing-regulations ******

  13. I was catching mine on the PMS jig throwing toward the banks from short creek down past C of O's water tower.. When that slowed down I switched over to the Domino lure... Gold when it was bright. Silver when the wind started to blow or got cloudy. Also catch a could on a Rainbow Yo-zuri Pin Minnow

  15. WOW... was that moon AWESOME!! I hit the water about 10:30pm.. it looked as if they had just shut it off. I head to the big hole to have a little fun.. Started off with a olive/purple Hibernator and first fish was about 18inches.. This was probably the biggest fish that area.. LOL.. everything I caught there was 10-14inches after switching a few times I decided to go to white... the new M-n-M ( M-N-M: a white mink sculpin with a white Uv chenille belly and rubber legs) hooking up a few more little ones I headed up to the flats... Ran into Henry (Fly2fish) so we stood there BSing.. and catching fish.. The hook broke on my fly so Henry let me use one of his (a White Bunnie leech). The fish were for sure bigger here.. but as the night went one the lower clouds moving in on us and they started shutting off on white. I switched back to a size 6 Hibernator (Black w/ Purple & red)... caught maybe a dozen and then the moon came back out.. Pushing 2:30am we called it a night.. All in all it was a great night with the moon at its fullest and Brightest Leonard
  16. Im with those guys.. we are going to need a little rain and warm temps with a few sunny days
  17. heres my question... where and how are you guys planning on fishing?? wading.. out of a boat... fly fishing.. bait fishing Here is my thought on the upper section wading and fly/spin fishing. Jigs in light color should be a great choice. Sculpin in dark colors... Midges and soft hackles if the sun peeks out... I would even think of throwing crackleback when a breeze put a chop on the water Midges with scuds or sow bug droppers..its that time of year where even glo balls or egg pattern will work (Rainbows are still in their spawn mode if it stay over cast and cloudy go two heavier line and throw streamers..
  18. Have you tried jigs... A couple years back when they opened the flood gates at Table Rock.. guys were throwing Smithwicks/rapalas and XPs/ rebels ..... caught a lot of the.. I couldnt buy a bite on them... I started using my PMS (olive, black or Brown) tied on a 1/8 jig head.. and started catch a lot minus fishing in a trout lake .... I caught over 30 walleyes on jigs in the 21-32in range... Pictures are worth 1,000 words!!!
  19. Hey Phil ... with the sleet/ice and snow.. and the wind.. it probably dropped the temps on Table Rock a couple of degrees A little bit of melting snow.. could be a GOOD thing for this weekend.... RIGHT??
