The true NIGHT TIME fly fishing master!!
Joe Humphreys.....
http://www.askaboutflyfishing.com/
Wensday night Sept 30 @ 8pm (our time)
This could be better then being on the water fishing !!
Had to make a quick run to the dam last night..
had to deliver a few "custom" jigs
well I stay about as long as I could manage the pain ....
I meet up with John and Jason..
we head to the low side of outlet 1.. got some really nice strikes.. a few LDR... and 1 to hand..
Jason Left ... Thanks for joining us last night and I'll get started on the next order..
John and I tied on the PMS (tied on a Jig 90 with a tungsten cone) and head up top toward the cable..
more hit and a few fish.... they were stacked right on the edge of the bank.. about 6-8 feet out..
Johns time was up so we head back to the car.. after he left I fished outlet 2 for about 30 more minutes...
with a black beaded PMS..
first cast... 19in brown..
the next 2 cast were bow..
the next 3 fish were brown.....
a few more bows and a few more browns..
but the fish of the night... a little Kentucky (about 15in) cleared the water about 2 feet and NAILED the PMS drifting down by the tree..
Leonard
Hey BIG K
Thanks for the report...
sweet smallie!!
I got something for you..
I've been playing with a pattern using muskrat (river rat)...
next time your down this way..Let me know and I'd be happy to give you a few "Dirty RATS"
Hey V..
What a weekend!!!
I had a blast.. and thanks for the "coffee creamer"
All in all not really any big numbers of fish... but who cares about numbers when you have 2 nights of big fish!
friday night with water running..
a 21in brown just below outlet 2 on a PMS under a indicator
a big bow in the 19in range (can you say FOOTBALL)
a few in the 17-18in range
Saturday night
went up to outlet 1 and nailed a PIG of a rainbow.. 22in on a new color hibernator
also another 23in brown (tried to get his picture but he decided he was camera shy)
and 2 other brown pushing the 19/20inch mark...
all the browns were caught on a olive PMS and the big bow was caught on a brown/UV purple
Leonard
