  15. Ok.. So it took me a while to fillet 3 walleyes... That should tell you how big they were...LOL I hit the water around 9:30 Parked at outlet 2.. no one was around so I started in the outlet with a sowbug/roo dropper.. picked up a few fish (8-10maybe).. Then decided to head up top and toss a few streamers.. With the rain.. I went striaght to an orange leech.... HOLY CRAP!!! I started on the high side of outlet 1 and walked toward the cable.. picking up 3 browns and 1 bow... headed back down and hooked into 2 big smallies.. at the point of the outlet I hooked 2 more brown. crossed outlet1 and tossed right in to center... bam.. another bow.. I was going to walk my wayback toward outlet 2... as I round the point... I hooked up one of the eyes...next cast a bump and a miss... next cast bam.. another eye... (these first two were the 24inchers)... A few cast later.. I had a bump.. set.. an all heck broke loose... nice hard fish.. big fat fish.... I think it was a meanmouth..(mouth of a sm..eyes like a K..silver like a lmb... but no stripe down it any wheres) a few cast later... BAM.... a sweet 26in eye... I never did have to change the fly.. they stayed with it all night.... until I went back down to #2 back to the sowbugs and roo's Leonard
  16. I'll tell you once I get thise 3 walleyes cleaned...... Leonard
  17. Im looking at hitting the water tonight.... FLY TESTING!! It looks like it could rain really good tonight and this would be a great night to test this set... Let know by PM.. or post here... shoot feel free to call. More the likely you will find me up close to outlet 1 flipping a jig until the water startes to drop (depending on the generation... If the water is really low but still on, I maybe just start with the fly rod. Leonard The new flies.. I did a modification to the PMS.. (this is freaking cool!!!) made a few "off the wall leeches"... and a floating minnow

  21. most everyone is talking about people get into bad mortgages... when we first got out home.. the payments were $660.... our first year (Feb) they sent us a $750 "overpayment" check.. In April they sent us a letter stating that the payment was to go to the INS company.. Well we call the ins and we were all paid up. call them back and 2 days later they called us back and said there was a mistake of them sending out over 1500 checks... Then they want the money back. What we did was reinvest it back into the house (made a payment with it)... well to them we used the money for our own personal use. Well this put us behind a payment.. In May our mortgage went up to "cover" the cost of the overpayment. From $660 to $780... $120 doesn’t sound like much to most, But with the new baby in the house... car breaking down.. 3 surgeries.. and medical ins that does cover a hospital visit for a 4 year old.. Every one knows my wife is a RN at the hospital... yet her ins DOESNT cover our son on a visit... she pay out over $350 every 2 weeks for this INS through the hospital...... we have another 2 payments left and our house payment goes back down (hopefully).... You can say what you want about bad credit... but when it does hit it hits hard!!! Oh... here is something else that happened this year... someone at our mortgage company use our debit card number to pay "their" bills.. get gas and went shopping... Yes we did prove we were not in Georgia at the time they got over $300 in gas in 2 days (they did find who did it) What is the worst part about all of this.. is our credit score has went down because of a few payment that were late... we are unable to refinance the house to get out from under this company... So what did we do? Leonard
  22. the only thing I did different was I put it on a 1/8oz black jig head Leonard
  23. Dave.. bring them both.. and rain gear... Henry's coming. it will rain!! (SEE...Sat Oct 4 40% Scattered T-Storms 77°- 57°) Leonard
  24. early to bed early to rise... What happens when they shut the water off as you were sleeping?? I end up going fishing!!! Water was shut down at midnight... a few guy were there.. fishing was good... white, black, olive, purple.... all the colors were working... weighted and unweighted... (NOTE: the flats should now be call the "SANDY FLATS"... it is completely covered in sand!!) Here is something else... as soon as the water got shut off... the water got really dingy.. shin deep you coundnt even see your shoes... Darker colors were great here... once it cleared up.. white was on... Leonard
  25. Wanye is right.. the ground is soaked... More rian would just be run-off.. I know nobody wants to see the gates open because of the bigger fish.. But honestly.. Id like to see them go ahead and open a couple.. get rid of as much water as we can before it hits us.... if we are at 918 now... 5-10inches of rain is going to put us right back where we started in March/April... Another reason for draining it now.. is so we dont flood downtown again... even if they open 3-5 gates.. that would release alot of water and then see what it looks like after the weekend. Is the Mississippi still flooded?? But it is suppose to hit tonight... so there would really be no time at all to drop the lake enough... Just my thoughts.. Leonard
