  1. Just got back from our 3 day float on the Current. Started at Round Spring Friday, took out at 2 Rivers around 11 today. Great weather and water levels. I hadn't floated this section before. Is there always alot of moss on the bottom from Round Spring to Bee Bluff? It was really thick in some spots, cleared out after that. None below Jerktail. Caught lots of 10-12" smallies, I caught my largest river smallie 20" I guessed at 4#, pic attached. Otherwise our group of 4 had only 3 other fish over 15". Probably caught close to 200 fish total. Why doesn't this river hold more big fish, not trying to complain those brownies could really pull your line when they were in swift current but it just seems as though there should be some bigger fish or maybe we were using the wrong bait, Pumpkin green finese worms for the most part. This was my first time on the current in sometime, would like to get the point of view from some of you who frequent it more regularly.
  2. Thanks,I made the choice because of less traffic. Good to have some experienced advise.
  3. I've floated Akers to round spring found the fishing good. Can anyone comment on how the fishing is from round spring to two rivers,ie are the good pools or alot of slw straight strecthes.
  4. I lived in Minnesota a few years. Twice I had my line cut or broke off only to datch the fish later with the jig in the corner of it's mouth. 1 walleye, 1 pike

  6. anyone know what time the bait shop on 123 near 215 opens in AM?
  7. in Ontario walleye have to be killed when placed in the "live well". My friend got a ticket for not doing so. Walleyes caught during a summer tournment in Minn. were kept inside a netted area after releasing them live and there was a 90% kill rate so that's the reason.
  8. anybody know if Bob's Bait and Court is still open? When I was there last probably 3-4 years age he had enlarged and had a good selection of bait.
  9. appreciate it
  10. I was heading down to upper BS and wondered which bait shop for minnows you all would suggest. In years past I've gone to Bob's Bait and Court but when I called them yesterday to number was no longer in service. Are the still open? Any other suggestions if they are not.
