Champ188, that reminds of what Bill Dance has said that any color of a worm is good as long as it is blue........... and I bet he has more experience catching bass than all of us put together.

I agree with the jig, it is an all year long goto bait I have on the deck. Also one of the top fish catching bait all year is the spoon I'll always have one on the deck. It is a fish catching lure fished on the top when the fish are surfacing or casting and let it sink and retrieve it through a school of fish or drop it straight down and jig it. Like several others I have a crank bait, spinner bait, jerk bait, worm, grub, and other variations of these lures either tied on rods in the rod box or in the lure storage in the boat. The other thing is not having the exact bait in the boat that someone is just killing them on that day.........

Have you checked with Ulrich Marine in Branson West? They are one of the best shops around if not the best. Fred has been in the marine repair business for several years and will do about anything for a person. I highly recommend them in my personal opinion for any outboard repair. They have always done me right........

Buying the Mercury will fix the problem..... What you are describing sounds screwy to say the least.....

I ran across this in Facebook on how to take screenshots with your HDS units Gen 1 & Gen 2. Then take your SD card to your computer to pull the screenshots off the SD card. Very easy to do.. If you have an Gen 2 with the latest software upgrade pay attention to line item number 7. http://doctorsonar.com/pages/lowrance-hds-screenshots

That's a smart move, yes you must of had an air leak at the top plug. Those gaskets get old and can crack and not only let the lube out but also will allow water in. Vacuum is what keeps the lube from running out after you remove the feed tube. Don't tilt the motor up leave it vertical to add lube till it comes out the top plug hole. You need the air space to prevent blowing your seals from expansion. Air will compress, liquid will not. I would purchase several gaskets and store them in a dark place to prevent exposure to UV and you will be prepared for the next time. UV it very hard on any type of plastic and will deteriorate it over time.

I would add lube to be sure the proper amount was in the lower unit. The lower unit repair is not cheap and what ever extra lube you have to purchase will be a lot less in cost versus what a destroyed lower unit would cost to repair......

The mouth of James is at point 9, that's where the James dumps into the White river. Baxter Marina is on the Big Indian arm. Little Indian dumps into Big Indian and Big Indian dumps into the White river.

Everyone has experienced a next to impossible to remove on the water bird nest. Thank goodness the most of us carry extra rods and/or reels in case of a professional over run and just wait until later off the water to fix...

Will Corps Launches Remain Open If There's A Shutdown?
GNSfishing replied to Quillback's topic in Table Rock Lake
The house has acted several times and ways, it's the democrats in the senate that are refusing to act in a way and manner to negotiate a settlement in this manner. They want their cake and eat to and we have ate a big 17 trillion hole. It's got to stop........Also you have to contact the Reps that you live in their district. -

Here is the reply I received from Senator McCaskill on the email I sent last week about the corp closing the launching ramps: "In the absence of FY 2014 appropriations or a continuing budget resolution for the Legislative Branch, Senator McCaskill's office has been forced to close effective October 1, 2013. The office will reopen when a continuing budget resolution is approved. Senator McCaskill is disappointed with the shutdown of government operations and the inconvenience to Missourians and will continue to work to fund the government as quickly as possible." She needs to be recalled and replaced with someone who will work for the people and want to address their problems and not follow the democrats around like a puppy dog. Her closing her office and not wanting to communicate with We the People. Sorry Phil just had to pass this along..... -

Cape Fair marina is open and have held their tournaments as scheduled. They have created an area in front of their docks which could be used to launch a boat they removed a section of the walkway and placed some marking buoys for a pathway to the area trying their best to accommodate their customers. The campgrounds are closed and the ramps are supposed to be closed altho the ramps are not blocked off. So whether the rangers are writing tickets or towing vehicles is unknown at this time. I did hear that a vehicle was towed from the Campbell Point area don't if that is so or not. The Bridgeport ramp is open and a few people are using it. -

It may not get the ramps open but at least they will get messages expressing our dissatisfaction with the present administrations no action on the problems of this whole country and its people. They all need to start listening to the majority and not the minorities on the problems and work out solutions. Not the idea of its my ball and we are going to play how I want to or no play at all.....BS....... -
Will Corps Launches Remain Open If There's A Shutdown?

I just received an email from the Cape Fair Marina that the Corp is closing the ramps at Cape Fair which ruffles my feathers. I have sent email to Roy Blunt, Claire McCaskill, & Billy Long giving them my thoughts on the closing of the area lakes launching ramps which we have paid a yearly fee to use these ramps and that it takes no supervision of the corp or rangers to keep these ramps open. I would like everyone to contact your elected representatives and voice you sentiments on the action of the Corp in closing these launching ramps. I also that there are upcoming elections and the we will remember who does what..... -

Just our president wanting to upset our apple cart as much as possible so we will say uncle, no other reason. Pure Harassment!!!!!! How many rangers does it take help you launch your boat..(NONE) -

Launched there last evening, was the only boat out. Caught several short spots, 1 keeper small mouth, 1 keeper spot, on spoons and jigs with beaver trailer. The spots were following the schools of shad surfacing here and there, loads of fun for about 1 hour. Started about 6:30 pm and quit at dark. -

I have the Golden Age passport which cost a 1 time fee of $10.00 which gives me 1/2 off on National Parks admission, use Corp ramps for a $15.00 yearly fee which is bargain for us older folks. They have changed the name to a Senior Pass for age 62 and over, but the Golden Age passport is still in effect. -
