This is a new thred record for Stockton ! We did it. The most replies to any topic over the last year was like 33. Close second when I said I wish the walleyes would eat all the crappies in Stockton.

I was having the same luck but was getting better fish backing out to deeper water and then moving more towards the points vs. the back of the cove. I also started catching better fish on the jig vs the C-Rig. Seems like the little bucks left the jig alone ? Fish a stick bait same place fishing c rig seemed to get better bites on it and cranks vs plastics.

Babler has spoken...someone bring him some crappies. Nice to see his expertise over on the Stockton side !
-
thank you, i was able to uplodad the pics

My daughter came out of the camper put down her Iphone and said "dad teach me how to filet a fish!" Pretty exciting day for me, since I truly hate cleaning fish ! She did a good job on the smaller eyes, crappies were a different story. I hope she keeps it up. I wanted to say there is an App for that

I was just teasing about the Lakes. Table Rock has much better bass according to the magazines, pro fisherman, Bass Pro, KVD, The Branson Belle, The Presleys and the Baldnobbers so DO NOT come up to little ole Stockton. However the Table Rock Forum is far superior for finding out some good quality info. I can check it on the way to the Rock and literally ALWAYS get information. Some weeks you wont see a post that has any information let alone any tips on where the fish are.

Dont't eat it !

I have yet to fish Bull Shoals. I need to get on it.

As much as I hate to admit it......This past weekend I out fished my partner probably 3 to 1 when we were fishing walleyes. I was casting the megabass clown color (not the 110) He threw every other jerkbait that we had and it did not come close. The next best was the Spro and I actually ended up swithing to the McStick. I have heard great thing on the the Rick Clunn's. Time to put them away anyways.

that is so Funny but true - I remember a thread like this going around on the Rock forum about a fella keeping a few small mouth. You would of thought the guy kidnapped some kids and was holding them randsome. The only difference is Stockton has better bass, but don't tell them guys on the Rock forum ! I would rather learn about how you caught them vs. if you kept them. This Forum is famous for a lot of opinions but not much info. The Rock Forum is FULL of information. Guys like Phil Liley, Bill Babler and some other's will point dummies like me in the right direction.

Nice when the fish Pics are too big to download ! I used to fish Masters a lot but I do not seem to make it up that way anymore. I love that island area you can catch everything.

TOO BAD WE CAN NOT GET A PRODUCTIVE THREAD LIKE THIS WITH GOOD FEEDBACK ON HOW TO CATCH FISH ! THIS READS LIKE MY WIFES FACEBOOK PAGE WHEN SHE IF FIGHTING WITH HER SISTERS. This forum is not to scold a young fisherman for keepin what some of you consider the "sacred LM bass" They are not the holy grail of fish. HOWEVER the young fella will learn he could of kept more of the smaller ones they clean better and cook better and maybe one of you old farts can show him how you can usually catch 3-4 eyes in about 2 hours for the fying pan and then you can go hit the bass up for fun. We all know catching walleyes is no fun compared to them big chunky bass.

MO just needs to have a Walleye Season. I never heard of not having a season ?? Up north opening day of walleye season was a bigger deal then opening day of deer season. Wife's got the pics on the camera supposed to send them to me. Got some new fancy camera that supposedly can send them right to the Web but I can not figure it out. Them bog eyes get that extra set of bones no sense messing with them and the filet blade fits em just perfect. Got anice big bag to cook tonight. I'll be on the Rock fishing the KVD this weekend. Stockton is so good that if I had not already paid I would skip it and go back this weekend.

YES IT WAS, The Walleyes were biting as good as the Bass. Nice stringer, I also would prefer to see 6 smaller one's vs a few chunky spawning bass but I think your 90 something gramma has earned a fish fry !

Fished both Saturday and Sunday and Stockton was at her best, EVER ! Saturday was quite a bit better then Sunday. 1st - Bass = It is flat out game on. Caught them all day long up shallow throwing green salamander, purple jig and trailer, clown stickbait and a small bluegill square bill. I am sure you could of thrown anything at them. water was 64 degrees We must of caught 40 plus each day ? 3 bags of Salamanders ! Pulled out to 10- 15 foot of water and started getting into the bigger 3-5 pounders. Must of had 15 over 3.5 lbs. You can not fish shallow enough, little deeper = much better fish. 2nd -Walleyes =My best 2 days of walleye fishing ever and I have had some pretty good days. Quantity was there but Man these were some real fatties. Had 2 limits each day, we threw back the big one's. We had 5 over 24 inches and one real nasty girl at 28" kept the smaller one's for the frying pan. They were off main lake points and you could catch them on the worm BUT I was throwing jerkbaits and blubill colored crank baits on the 1st 1/2 of the same coves I was bass fishing and it was game on. I have never caught this many big walleyes ! Drug the 24" bottom bouncer around some points Sun morning and got into them again with a crawler. My regular bottom bouncer = 0 bites. The 24" caught 5. Look for the Shad, As soon as you would see them following your bait you would nail 2-3 Eyes. I have complained about Stockton's small Walleyes I hope this trend continues. I got the pics on my camera, will upload. Getting ready for the KVD on the Rock Saturday.

I need a number of poles rule and a number of baits rule. Keep me from shopping !

thanks for scouting it out. I will post a report next week. Hope to get into them this weekend !

TODAY I GOT A NEW MEGABASS 110, NOT THE COLOR I SENT IN BUT I ACTULLY LOVE THE COLOR THEY SENT! Just a little info on these guys....I am a fan of their jerkbaits and own 6. At $25 each that is $150 investment and I am no wealthy man but I do believe nothing compares to them. However I took one out of the box at the Big Bass Bash at LOZ and out of the box the bill was cracked off the lure. I bought it months before in Tulsa, no receipt or I would of just retruned it. Instead I called them and was told it must have been wear and tear. I explained - I took it out of the box, It had never been cast ??? After a frustrating conversation I was told i could mail it to them and they would look into it. I spent $11 Fed Exing it to them. Their reply.....We appreciate your feedback and here at Megabass we appreciate your business. That was it. $36 into one lure. They did not even mail me back the broken one ? I also thought they had a Satisfaction Guarantee but I guess that does not apply to broken baits. Not really here to bash Megabass but I will be moving to Spo for my Jerkbaits, (as soon as I lose all my megabass 110's)
-
Hard to beat the Flockr Shad, I was at the LOZ last Sunday and caught about 20 and all the minnow guys had only caught a few. I LOVE the new clown color wiht the sort of see thgough bottom and only a few bucks !
-
I thought the annual passes you can buy got you entrance into all the parks, to launch or do whatever ??
-
thanks for the report, this weekend I can finally fish Stockton for 2 days. I been sneakin in a day or two here and there and I have been to The Rock and LOZ more this year then Stockton ??? Can't wait hopefully the warm days will really get things finally started!

I was just kidding about the A Rig. Just not a fan of the concept.
-
Boy I got in the cove south of the south campground at Hawkers and I could see 18 foot to the bottom. I could see the BB on my C rig the entire way. Do not remember that kind of clarity.
