  1. Where were you getting the crappie bites and what was the water depth? Any info appreciated.
  2. Listening to the weather this morning and didn't sound to favorable over the next several days.I am very curious on what everyone's outlook is in regards to the crappie and bass bite when these heavy rains arrive.I am looking at going up on Saturday and would appreciate any insight or opinions on this subject. Will it still be good fishing in this type of weather or will it shut em down for awhile.Just curious. Thanks ahead of time for any input.Good fishing to all and be safe out there.
  3. When fishing last sunday were catching all crappie in 5-10fow.Definitely on peagravel/chunk rock banks and mainly under docks. Were using 1/32 chart tinsel jigs with either chart or hot pink crappie nibbles but also were getting them on minnows as well.Good luck.
  4. Was fishing with three other people off the the very end of horseshoe bend all day from 7:30 in the morning til 5:00 Sunday and ended up in the neighbor hood of 50 or more nice crappie. They were averaging around 11-11.5 inches with the largest measuring 14 inches stretched. Were using mainly jigs but also did well on minnows. All were approx in 5-10 fow the entire time.Did not see any on the banks at all.A good day had by all.I am going to attempt to post a picture or two on here tonight if I can make it happen.
  5. What kind of lures are you in the business of making and how would one come across some samples of these to try and maybe give a full report on as well as possibly spread the word about to fellow fisherman around this area.
  6. Sorry guys. Not trying to be a jerk.Like I said, I'm just doing everything I can to ensure my daughter has a succesful trip this weekend.I would like to see her join the fishing ranks with all of us instead of some of the alternatives we see our younger people getting into these days. Thanks for all the advice and good fishing to all.
  7. I thank you again for the info. Getting ready to bring my daughter on her first crappie adventure so I am doing everything I can to ensure a succesful outing.I do know the lake fairly well and know the areas your talking about.I appreciate the point in the right direction.Good luck to you and may your stringers be full.
  8. Almost 50 views added up since this morning and not one reply. Seems to me maybe the old "keep the crappie a secret" game may be being played here.I was under the impression that people on this web site were here to exchange information not keep it all to themselves.Maybe I'm wrong on this but if not it's a sure shame that we can't help each other out with something as simple as information.Oh well, I guess we'll have to just find them on our own and hope for the best. If some one does reply to this before I re-check I surely give you a million thanks in return.
  9. Is there any crappie action off the bridge.Seems to always be people there fishing for them.
  10. I am planning on being up there to do some crappie fishing on Sunday. I am just trying to get a feel on when they seem to be most active feeding and also at what depths everyone is seeing and catching them. Any info would be highly appreciated. Also curious if anyone having any catfish luck or if it's still a hair early. Thanks to any or all who reply and happy fishing!
  11. Just looking to find out how the crappie bite has been over the past few days and what seems to get the bite better. Also curious if anyone has any idea if the catfish are moving around in shallower water or not.Any info is greatly appreciated.
  12. Welcome to the Ozarks. Fellows has been a little slow getting started up.There are alot of good bass, crappie and walleye in this lake as well as a good community of muskie as well.If you go online and type in Fellows lake Missouri map you should be able to print off a map showing depths, contours and also locations of brush piles that have been set out over the years at different locations around the lake.I personally fished out there last Sunday morning and pulled out four decent walleye from all the way down by the dam on the northern bank(they seem to be hanging out in the rip rap in that area(may still be spawning in this area). If you have any more questions just ask and good luck!
  13. What are you all using to catch these little bad boys.We were having some luck a week or two ago using 1/32 chart tinsel tail jigs mainly.Did not see any one including ourselves getting any action off minnows.Appreciate any info you have.We were fishing off the very end of Horseshoe bend at the Alhonna resort docks.
  14. I mainly caught them on 1/4oz rattle traps in blk/slvr or blue/slvr.It was always south of the bridge and either early morning or late evening when they were most active.Have not however fished out there in some time.I was wanting to go out and try for some crappie off the bridge but I thought I had heard the bridge was closed for repairs. If anyone can verify this it would be nice to know for sure.
  15. Fished out there early Sunday morning. Was windy as all get out but did manage to hook into a few walleye(4 to be exact). All the way down by the dam off the bank.Other than these, did not get anything else but just landing these was a blessing in those conditions.
  16. Very curious about this lake also.I used to fish here quite regularly and have gotten into some good largemouth on many occasions.I was just wondering if anyone has been out that way here recently?
  17. Oh yeah, there alot of good bass and crappie in there to,lol!
  18. I personally have caught several small muskie out of there over time. There was a guy at the end of last season who pulled out a 42" muskie while bass fishing. They seem to hit better around late fall into early winter. It is known as one of the better muskie fisheries in the state.ther have been several good sized fish pulled out of the lake over the past few years.
  19. Thanks for the info.I was wondering if I was the only one who spent time on this lake.Have been fishing it for some time nd have always done fairly well.I'm surprised there are not more posts on this lake.
  20. Was just curious if anyone has been out to Fellows lake and if so how the fish are with this crazy weather pattern we are in. Any info appreciated.
  21. I am new to this sight but have been checking it out for some time.I am very glad to know that this sight is here and that all you fellow fisherman keep it stockpiled with new and up to date info as to where the action is happening. I did put up a post this morning about fishing loz this weekend.Just wanted to say hello and wish all good and safe fishing adventures.
  22. Fished the docks at the alhonna resort on Horseshoe bend Saturday and Sunday. The weather Saturday was pretty tough but we did manage to pull out some good keeper crappie. Was very slow(catch one approx every 10-15 minutes or more) but did catch some good ones both days averaging 10"+ and the largest measuring 13 1/2".Were using only 1/32 chart tinsel tails jigs and nothing else. Did get a small large mouth or two off of small chartreuse spinners but that was all.Was a tough but satisfying fishing adventure. Will be going back up in a week or two so hopefully weather will do nothing but improve.Good luck and good fishing and be safe out there.
