Here's a recipe for Alaska fishing that works well for my wife & me: 1) Go (in the summer, any time that you can, but early September can be fantastic). 2) Fly into Anchorage and pick up a motorhome (reserve ahead). 3) Then drive to a big Anchorage fly shop, explain your situation (flexible plans) and ask them where to fish, what to use and how to use it. 4) Follow their advice; go & fish according to their directions and (8.5 times out of 10) enjoy the trip(s) of a lifetime.
