  1. Hey merc1997 ! I would like you to call Barry Electric Cooperative office at 417-847-2131 and ask for JR Smith. I have a gift for you for spreading great positive news about goBEC Fiber Network service.
  2. Just an FYI tested the waters on Saturday, May 19. I float this all the time and was curious how bad it is. 3 of us floated tubes and 1 in a Kayak. We got out to walk a total of 14 times. Water level is way way low. End of summer type of low. I would not recommend a canoe because you need to drag it a ways until its deep enough. We did not fish, but there was one fella fishing just below iron bridge. He said he was doing pretty good with some small mouth. I could see a lot of gar activity. If you are thinking about floating flat creek, I would wait until we get a lot of rain for a long period of time. JR
  3. How was the float "Green Sunfish"? I plan on going down for my birthday this weekend. We are planning to stay at Tyler Bend. Not sure where to float due to the water levels. Anybody reading have an idea where the level is best for floating? Never floated Buffalo before, so help a newbie out. Would like to be close to the campsite if possible. In fact, I have not paid anything yet, so if any of you recommend a better place to stay with no crazy parties, let me know. Thanks! JR
  4. I live near Stubblefield access and its a rough road getting there, but it is open if any of you want to put in there. At the bridge of 39, its not MDC owned, just access from the highway. I will have to check EE Hwy. Its pretty good size, so I think its fine. I will post after I check it out. Thanks for the reply! JR
  5. Jim, you can camp at Mill Pond. This is just down stream from McDowell just past the big cliff and waterfall. They charge $4 or $5 to camp. Not sure what its like, whether the place is clean or not. Its just an old farm house making some easy cash that live on the creek. Its been around for a few years and they raised their price this year, so it must be alright.
  6. Not sure where to post about Flat Creek, but planning a float from Hwy 39, just South of Jenkins to Hwy EE. Just curious if any of you have floated this yet since the flood a few weeks ago. Places I have seen on flat creek so far up stream have cleared out for the better. Family and I plan on floating Saturday during Memorial Day weekend. Thanks! JR *administrator, if this post in in the wrong forum, please move it to the correct location. Thanks.
