Thanks...hope they work out. I might play around with some coatings to try on my felt soles to see how they work out. I'm thinking of trying some of the abrasive coatings they use in industrial flooring or maybe truck-beds to keep it from being slick or porous.

I read that felt wading boots could be covered with 'rubber cement' or some other coating as a means to uphold the law without buying new boots....anybody tried that or seen it? I'm wondering whether it's worth a shot or if I will simply ruin a good pair of felt soles.

Great pics; don't you love those types of surprises? I'm planning to float the Buffalo this weekend, is the water still pretty high? I'll be most likely at Ponca / Kyle's Landing area and floating down.
