  1. Mine is the deerhair diver w/ the orange tail and the cone head bugger looking deal.
  2. I have yet to see mine as well. I know that he isn't too far from Springfield and thought they would have shown up by now. I hate busting anyone's balls about this because I know things do come up, but frankly I busted my butt to get mine done on time, and having hosted a swap I KNOW that it doesn't take THAT long to divide everything out.
  3. You may find some help down here in the fly fishing section, but I doubt crank bait rods are much a specialty down here.
  4. I had plans to head over for this. Stuff comes up. Maybe next time.
  5. I'll probably begin moving that direction sometime Friday afternoon/evening. Justin, or whoever, just let me know what you guys need brought.
  6. This works for me. I'm pretty open and can bring whatever is asked of me. Beer for certain, food stuffs of some choice I can also do. I also want to throw streamers out of a boat if I could. It seems like kind of a neat thing to do.
  7. Iff'n you all will have a newb around I would like to tag along!
  8. Airbrushed? I can definitely wait.
  9. Lucas- Swinging small softhackles is always productive. If not just drift scuds and egg patterns. Also small zebra midges should work plenty well also. Do yourself a favor and fish down or away from the outlets, don't get dependant on only being able to catch fish in them.
  10. For mine I built fish attractors for the local conservation area. A bunch of buckets, a ton of pvc cut to random lengths and quickreeted in. If you do those saw the lip of the buckets off so there is nothingn to get snagged on for fisherman. I made 24 for a fairly resonable cost, and it took us one morning to build them all and another week for the concrete to cure. super easy.
  11. I shipped mine on Friday. OB, sorry, I didn't put my user name on their. Mine are going to be in the Coleman tin.
  12. I'm all finished up. Should hit the mail tomorrow.
  13. I need the address as well, mine are going to be wrapped up this week.
  14. I'm going with the "a fly a day" approach. While this doesn't sound like a mediocre vote of confidence, I'm surprised at how much the divers don't suck. Enough of them and they start to look pretty good. ... or it was the rolling rock looking at them for me. I need to look when I get home.
  15. All of my sinking bugs are done, two divers finished up, six to go.
  16. I've heard nothing but good things about the Allens, But it's hard to beat the Lamson Either. I saw of FB Wise just picked up an Allen, if he doesn't respond shoot him a PM and see what he thinks of it.
  17. I think you get them at Walmart! I bet they have those cool gold ones! Pimp fishin with gold hooks. Edit: my floaty ish fly will float, ill probably do some deer hair divers and break out all the stops for this bad boy.
  18. I've started mine... two down. 14 to go. My sinky bugs are on size 4's. Do you all have any preference about what size the floaty (ish) bugs will be on?
  19. Top notch as usual Brian. One question. On your third clump of laser dub, it looks like your tying it in in front of and behind the eyes, would this be correct?
  20. I fish a six on taney almost exclusively at taney if if fishing when they are running water or I'm fishing streamers. The onky time I don't is if I know ill probably only fish midges or big, big streamers.
  21. Hey guys, this is just a heads up. If you check out the fly shop in bass pro they have their Partridge Ad Swier Pike Hooks on sale for 2.88 a pack. Which is a great price for these hooks. I'll probably try some big bass flies on them or just hold them until there is a chance I can actually fish for pike. But may give musky flies a shot on them.
  22. If this doesn't get any bigger we could each do a pair of 3 or 4 different patterns that we fish. I can just pack these in with the smallmouth swap flies.
  23. I'm good with it. If everyone wants we could each tie something that's a bottom crawler and something that swims up top.. Just musing out loud. If we choose to do two patterns I'd look at something like a Sparkle Dad, from over at the Fly Obsession blog, and then something like a aluminum eye clouser with something more buoyant like a sheep or yak hair. That or something like a scaled up Drakes wounded minnow, I've done these for another swap and I always catch quite a few fish on them every year. Let me know what you guys want to do.
  24. Just curious, would everyone want to tie two different patterns?
  25. Oh I guess so. Put me down boss.
