  1. Out early Sunday morning worked hard but the fish weren't havin it. Best fish and only keeper on chunk banks with good slope 2.9lbs. Fished transitions, points, drops, flipped over 100 trees and 30 docks. Tough day......
  2. Down at dam area (south of Jakes), out by 615 and 3 keeper smallies on first 5 casts. Fish were surfacing and the shad were dancing until 930. Picked up the spoon and before I knew it 10 keepers... Largest was a 3.75 Kent. No largemouths but still a fun morning. Water temp was 71-74 and clear.....
  3. Thats awesome! Congrats!
  4. Thanks CMF. Was on the lake at 5:50am this morning and was hammering the long gravel points 25-35 fow. Caught a bunch of smallies but no eyes. Hit points north of 2 about 45 minutes per. Had to hit over 8 different. Good wind and cloud cover.... This eye fishing is a black magic, voodoo sport..... I'll keep swinging.
  5. Hit point 2 tonight with no eyes. 1 cat over 15 plus. Still searching for my first one going out early in the morning to try the spoonin again
  6. Awesome responses. I think I have enough info to be dangerous atleast have a good time with it. I got a couple points picked out I will try this weekend.
  7. First let me say, I am not a walleye fisherman but after reading a number of posts, I would love to catch at least 1. I typically fish from Jake's branch to 86 bridge. Any suggestions on location in my area or methods?
  8. What time is the official fishing start on both days?
  9. Outside of driving down well into Arkansas, is there any areas between the dam and 86 bridge that are holding crappie? Does anyone have any reports they can share? I tried fishing this weekend with no prevail, around 3 hours per day.....not good.
  10. What about down the Long Creek Arm for crappie? Since the bass bite is slow I figured I might as well fill the freezer.......
  11. I appreciate the help. I have already called them to discuss the Pro-guide 200 Hr deep cycles they have! And Bill, I hope mentioning your name doesnt cost me too much
  12. While I was out on the lake this weekend, I notice after only about 2 hours on the water my trolling motor did not have the same "gettie up" that it had just a couple before. My three bank charger showed full charge after about 2 hours of charging. I believe my batteries are going bad and are wanting to know from my fishing pals, which batteries you recommend and where to buy them around Hollister/Branson (I justed moved down here 1.5 ago).
