  1. Never heard of anyone suspending their bait like that.
  2. It's usually 50 but that's a hard one to follow always in every scenario. We could spend the remainder of 2015 on that one. I'm ready for it though.
  3. I totally agree with that also. This is basically why I fish table rock. It's my chill out lake. I still want to catch them but it's much less pressure. Grand is my tournament lake where fishing pressure is immense and table rock never even thought about dealing with that much pressure. Yet it still kicks out impressive stringers every weekend. The rudeness part sucks and will likely only be solved by catastrophic economic failure. I've had crappie fishermen give me the same treatment though even with my kids in the boat so it's not just a money problem but a society problem. The same nuts on the highway are the same ones on the water.
  4. Right on. I'll be at Ruark. That's where I've always tried it in the past. I may have to broaden my territory though. I'm a bass guy but watching a kid with a 5lb+ catfish is a good time. Hopefully the weather is reasonable and the fish cooperate. I'd really like to watch the boys rip them this year especially if we have company. Thanks for the advice.
  5. What general depth do you guys target around bridges and also around flats? I've don't the bridge thing but not the flat drifting deal. Friday morning I will be there with my boys and hopefully guests trying to catch s few cats.
  6. I know you said table rock but don't forget that Midwest Fish Tournaments puts these types of events on several times a year. I've only fished one. Also look up the Nichols Marine series on Grand lake. You're fishing for a boat and serious payouts every event. That's why this Oakley thing doesn't really impress me. It's nothing that isn't already being done locally that you guys could be supporting year round. Not some fly in fly out circus act.
  7. That thing should have been in a skillet before a camera could have got to it.
  8. and btw I got criticized for that too
  9. thats not even the point
  10. Again I wasn't asking you too. Ever heard of thinking out loud or general discussion? That's how forums work. I was simply making a statement for the sake of discussion since we are talking about this tournament. I never expected any feedback to sway any changes. Now the dollar comment, come on man lol. I was born at night but not last night. If you think I for one am bullying you then don't. Again it's discussion. I seriously don't expect any changes based on my input. In fact my point are more directed to the people here year round on this forum. I'd rather spitball ideas and solve the worlds problems with them since they are guys just like me. There are tournaments for everyone almost and I have my preferences and if voicing those twists some poor sensitive saps giblets then I guess that's what happens though it's not my intention. The fact is and this may or may not come across as an attack, bullying, or however you choose to be the victim in the reply but if you had stations at every ramp it would be the best way possible. If you had scales in every boat it would be the best way possible. If you had people give their best guess it would be the best way possible to run a tournament and if I disagreed I'd be being mean.
  11. Pretty sure that doesn't mean anything
  12. Because we need one of those.
  13. Instigating someone is them having an agenda. Wow what great representation you have. The ideas the people have here would literally increase the participation of this tournament. Not only that it would make it lake wide. If big cedar was in the KC or Baxter area it would be less of a problem but that's not the case.
  14. Hard to beat for the money. Especially the omens, which I also have that I'm thinking about selling out of too.
  15. This rod makes you better looking and guarantees longer life. Also improved mpg.
  16. I'd run a deep cycle. I hadn't thought about this until this year. I ran my battery dead once this year for the first time. I was sight fishing and had everything going which was unnecessary but nevertheless it showed me a fourth battery may not be a bad future option.
  17. I'm glad to hear about the paid advertising Phil has a neat thing going here. I should have left the free part off so that was my own mistake obviously. The point I was making though is we are here all year long discussing and contributing to this forum, the lake, and hopefully each other. Oakley is an in and out deal. So what if you hear the same thing resonated repeatedly? Use it. The Big Bass Bash certainly runs a fine successful tournament with far less corporate backing and phenomenal payouts so maybe this formula that gets repeated is for good reason. It just might work. I'm trying to offer constructive criticism that I know for a fact would be beneficial to the ones that you count on, the anglers. It may not be good for Oakley or Johnny but I'm not concerned about them honestly. I expect this to be taken as seriously as the last discussion and I'm ok with that. I'll be here all year. See you next year.
  18. Sounds like a good plan
  19. I wonder if he will keep the boat
  20. Check out what the Texas conservation has to say about this. I didn't believe it for a long time either until this year. Now I will add that according to them a fish of this weight can be held by the jaw safely assuming you aren't Ish Monroe. I think it was 7lbs and under but look it up yourself to be sure.
  21. You are wrong and simply looking at it all wrong. It's as simple as that. I could reverse this just as easily using your logic.
  22. Don't forget they're here for free advertising.
  23. Two reasons: 1. The amount of truth 2. What's wrong with people's opinions? If a company/organization can't handle feedback without getting their panties in a wad then they either need to change business' or stay off public forums. Personally I'd think feedback should drive a company. If they give a crap anyway.
  24. Throw a spook and believe.
