  1. A couple dandy's from Fellows in 2013.
  2. The crappie? Or was there something we missed? Pics?
  3. It's a good practice to at least get out and examine the ramp and waters edge for stuff like that before backing down. The good news is that most of the time you are the only one launching a boat, so a few extra seconds could definitely pay dividends in the long run. There are a lot of bank fisher-folk that may leave it behind, but also a lot that may toss it from the boat. It's when you have to take your prop off and unwind braid that someone left in the water that will really urk you. Not that I know anything about that...
  4. Now that... is love of the sport!
  5. Largest I've landed (not including one's that broke off - I have donated some lures over the years) was 36". Caught it while fishing a jerk bait for bass in the east arm, north side in less than 5 feet of water in February. Must have been searching the shallows for an easy meal.
  6. Sorry about all the pics... just want everyone to know that if you work hard enough - andspend the time, study the map and structure, you can catch some quality fish on Fellows.
  7. Not to mention this dandy 6.11 lbs walleye caught on a spinnerbait while fishing around brush piles on the north bank. Also caught plenty of walleye while fishing a 3/8 oz jig and trailer for bass. Awesome lake - I love my big lake boat for Table Rock and Stockton the over the last couple years, but I need to find another small boat to go out and do it again at Fellows soon.
  8. Winter/Spring bass on a jerk bait - I miss being out there, as I caught these two years ago now. 5.2, 6.1, and 6.11 lbs respectively. Fellows bass seem to love the channels and flats - especially where cover is nearby (weed beds, chunk rock, transitions, etc.)
  9. AWESOME! Gotta love the ol' 370-V with an XR2 scootin' across the water!
  10. Rods still available?
  11. Meant to post with an asking price of $1,200 or best offer. Great little boat for someone looking to fish smaller water.

  13. Don't give up... big bass live here... but with the fishing pressure the bank bite gets, with a boat you will have a lot more luck. Not saying that you can't get a good bite off the bank, but until I built my jon boat, I wasn't able to get a consistent LMB bite.
  14. FUN TIMES! Headed there Sunday. Hope the bite is still on after this front moves though!
  15. I will Darrin, as I make trips out there. Was real surprised that the bite was as good as it was late in the afternoon, but with the continuing falling lake temps, feeding will always start to increase through the daytime hours. I made a trip to table rock this weekend, and they have been real, and I mean real, shallow in the evening and night hours... slow rolling spinnerbaits and catching quite a few. Get back into town and catch some of these little green fish! Tight lines! Mark
  16. It's been a while folks! Hope everyone has been doing well. I recently completed my 86' 371V Ranger project and have her up and running... Spending the last 3 months hitting the big water (Table Rock, Stockton). Had a wild hair Saturday, cause of the recent cold front Friday evening, to not spend money on the gas to run to the larger lakes and hit up ol' reliable Fellows in the 81' 14 foot Landau. It wasn't a waste! Got to the water about 4:00 pm Saturday. Water temp about 80 degrees. Blue bird skies, 78 degree air temp, winds out of the WNW at around 10 mph. Fished brush piles and moss beds, 3 - 10 feet deep and caught 7 largemouth on a Texas rig worm, fishing until 7:00 pm. Good news is... one 5.5 and one 6.25 pounder in the boat! The rest were dinks, around 14 inches each. The lake still holds potential for many big fish, I am never surprised at the quality of largemouth Fellows has. Tight lines!
  17. I believe the all boats have to be off the water by 8:15 according to the dock Keith... if I remember correctly anyway.
  18. Good work Nitro! The jig bite was real good two weeks ago as well, good to hear that it is still working.
  19. I am a strong believer that everyone is entitled to their own thought and opinions. But... I still bring in quality limit size fish (bass, walleye, crappie, white bass). It's the reason I keep coming back.
  20. Didn't get to the lake until 10:30... wasn't sure how the day would go getting started so late. Water temp was around 67 degrees. Started on the East arm, north side. Crankbaits and jerkbaits were not producing, no wind to break up the water's surface. Overcast skies. Water surface was as smooth as glass. Moved on to the south arm and decided now would be a better time than any to throw a jig and see what happens with no wind. Great midday bite! Boat traffic was as busy as I have ever seen it on Sunday, glad to see so many boats out and enjoying the day on the water. Left around 2:45 pm. 9 short Largemouth males, 3 keeper female Largemouth and a 27 1/2" walleye to boot. All related to the weeds, in various depths between 5 - 15 feet. Looks like the females have yet to spawn, setting up for bedding in the next week or two. Just my take on what I saw. Happy Fishing!
