Best advise is to pack your stuff and hit Stockton, but if your set on fishing TR with light live minnows and dark nights. I've never had any luck with light on TR but that's a good combo on any lake. I'm sure the LOZ boys will correct, or reiterate what I said in their bs slang. -
Does anyone remember what time of year that BPS bow fishing tournament was held, I do. Those bass where on their beds, getting kicked off my a dozen boats in those two nights. I'm sure non of those ethical teams shot any big old bass, and all of the bass guys are welcoming more tourneys like it. I'll look back at my other phone and dig up a pic of two toad largemouth on the bank a night after that bow tournament. Some of you are so blind!

Does any have the number of bass tournaments ran off Table Rock last year? Years back it was over 300, now that is sick! I'm heading out this afternoon to do my part and stringer up some bass, I figure if I catch enough it will help lower the amount of traffic! FnF Your totally correct about who uses the water no doubt about it. I'm just saying big tournaments only benefits a few of the locals, the majority has to deal with increased traffic so I'm not a supporter of the "bowfishing tournament". So getting back to the main tooic - I too was cut off by a dozen bowfishing boats that night of the tournament and all I heard was "big money on the line". That was the day I became a cabelas club member.

Yes I like the small towns not the Branson tourist leaches, but like I said I avoid it. What do I get as a tax payer for these business owners pocketing more money from a event? I have to deal with more car traffic, added lake traffic, and more unknowns potential stealing my zebco 202 out of my boat!

Hey Champ, I do like this area I just prefer fishing without all the people or tournament traffic. I'd rather watch a donkey show than a bass weigh in!

Honestly I've lived in SWMO for eight or nine years and have never been to a Branson show or restaurant or used any service. I really wish it was more like the northern lakes, some populated other no commercial bs allowed. I think we all know if it didn't come down to the dollar which one 99 percent would like to live on.

Everyone can thank Johnny for the sudden popularity for bowfishing, he is like what Willie is to ducking hunting and facial hair. Make sure you all thank him by shopping else where, it won't hurt him a bit but it sure helps out the others.

Gar is an Invasive species? Come on guys, they been in this water table longer then any other fish on the Rock. Plus carp are fun to catch, and pound for pound they are one of the toughest fighters out there, a blast to catch. Champ - You are correct they don't eat those fish, they arrow them then toss them back, it's no different from catching a bass and cutting his throat then tossing him back in, "Trill Kill" Fin N Feather- Gar is great, but have fun cleaning them

How is bowfishing any different from trill killing?

What I really like is when I'm heading out to go fish and have to weave around nearly a hundred floating carp and gar floating in the river. Are there any rules or regulations on taking or disposing of your kill? I felt really sorry for the families that were trying to bank fish with a dead rotten fish all around, can you smell the memories!

What area do you fish at if I'm are path crosses I'll teach you how to set those drop points? I have them all on a card so it should be quick and easy.
