  1. I will be out Friday. I'm sure there will be some floaters. I will be chasing hybrids though. Make sure the ramp you are planning to use is open. I'm pretty sure only the high water ramps are currently open, but the lake is dropping and more could be open by this weekend. Good luck!
  2. I was using small shad on a jig head, but I would think worms would have caught them too. I was right next to the dam. You could see them all swimming about 4 ft off the bank. The drum were deeper, about 15 ft off the bank
  3. I have only been down once and that was yesterday from the bank. Caught 6 big drum, 8 huge carp and a white bass that was close to 4 lbs. Showed some others how to catch drum and they caught a bunch more. Only fished for couple hours. Left around 4 pm. I am sure the whites and walleye moved in around dark. Really just went to look at conditions.
  4. Does anybody know of a spot to launch a boat? I saw one up at the dam yesterday, but am not sure where he launched? Any info greatly appreciated!
  5. Are there still shad up there or did they follow the dirty water back down? I found them up there thick a week ago.
  6. Hope i don't upset any of the locals, but the whites are up at the pothole in numbers. Caught a ton today and saw limits being caught from the bank as well.
  7. Oh OK. Yeah I know hawker point on Stockton, I thought you we referring to one on Bull shoals.
  8. Yeah Richie, they are the real deal, but totally worth it. I have actually met you before down at powersite when you were launching your kayak a couple summers ago. We talked about catching the big ones for a bit.
  9. The humps in front of KK island are always a good spot. The airport by mile long bridge, and point O3 which is adjacent the airport are great spots when they get into their summer patterns. Have live bait straight down in rod holders around 15 ft and have a top water lure or a 1oz spoon tied on another rod. You can blind cast while waiting for them to push through your baits with the spoon. Always have an eye on the horizon looking for fish busting bait on top. In summer, the first major feeding is from dawn to around 10 am. They then feed again the last 1.5 hours before sunset. If it's overcast, the well feed anytime throughout the day. Good luck!
  10. Oh it's all good. I just find it frustrating about people calling others lurkers, but when you post, is crickets. No worries though, half the fun is the chase and figuring them out. I've got some little leg weights that have kept me close to home this last year, but I am very excited about being able to get out more and pattern them this year. My guesstimate is we should be seeing some 16-18 lb fish this year from the stocking 3 years ago. There are still some of the giants around, but their natural life cycle will be making them fewer and farther between. The spring bite is around the corner so it should get better. The pic is from one of the few trips last fall with one of my lovely little leg weights adding scale. All I can say is having twins is the REAL DEAL! Tight lines and best of luck.

  13. Okeedokee. Guess no one has any input or any they would like to share. I guess I will post pics when I locate them again. The pic is from last fall.
  14. Anyone know where they went. I was catching them this fall and now cannot find them. I was down Thursday and launched out of K dock. Didn't even take a rod. I just wanted to try and locate them. Marked the usual fish on the channel drops, but nothing that looked like stripers. So I then began driving trying to find bait and birds. Drove all the way down to Bee Creek. Marked two smalls balls of shad, but nothing like I have in the winter up on Truman. Up there you will find bait that will block out your screen and gulls hanging around. Anyways, any input is appreciated.
  15. What I would like to know, is where they go in the winter. I can find bait and birds, but don't mark them like I do in the summer and fall. Anyone have any input on winter/early spring fishing patterns?
  16. Caught these a couple of weeks ago. Biggest was around 13 lbs.
  17. would you be willing to share your technique at least? I tend to catch them dead sticking in these lower water temps, but am always interested in learning new ways.
  18. I used to live a half mile north from there on 167. It is a fenced off private pond. It has posted trespassing signs.
  19. Done! Can't wait to try out your product on the hybrids at Truman. Thanks!
  20. There is not a discount on your spoons for OAF members by chance is there?
  21. Thanks. How far back were the bass chasing shad? We saw a little activity, but we didn'tget back there until 10 since we were catching walleye at the pothole.
  22. Caught some last week right in front of the ramp there. Check coves early in the day.
  23. We saw you guys. I was in the black tracker idling upstream. There were some keeper Bass we saw as we were cruising, especially up by the old foundation. We saw at least 6 that would have gone 3 lbs or better. We caught a couple of walleyes up at the pot hole, but we're looking for the man in the striped suit.
  24. I have a 2013 tracker pro guide 175 with a 115 four stroke. I have run at idle for many many hours with no trouble. Very quiet, great fuel economy and keeps my boat running at 2.5 mph at idle
