  1. Does anybody have a phone number, URL, or email address for Chuck?
  2. Leonard, can't get south for awhile, but I'll save your number. Thanks for the invite and hospitality....
  3. MoMuskie....too late, I'm already hooked.... Been making a yearly trip to Canada, Lake of the Woods near Nestor Falls, each year in late June or early July. Started this 10 years ago, and we have had great success. Have boated dozens of musky with the best 48". Know the area really well, and have all our hotspots well marked with my GPS. Drag my bass boat up each year as well, and spend 10 days of non-stop musky fishing each trip. Have been making fall trips to Minnesota the last 3 years, but this year decided to fish Pomme instead of the 8 to 10 hour drive north. Seems a little stupid to drive to Minnesota or Canada when there's a decent musky lake 2'ish hours from home. Oh well, nobody said that fishermen were smart. Thanks for the advice....keep in touch (lmurphy8@kc.rr.com)....
  4. timsfly....thanks for the pictures....
  5. Jet....mind posting pictures of your flies, or posting a URL? Still trying to learn what to tie or buy....
  6. Cool....where does the Trophy Area start and end?
  7. Thanks!
  8. Suspending or floater?
  9. timsfly....can I see some pictures of your favorite egg flies?
  10. Can someone point me to a map with the zones layed out? I'm used to Bennett and the zone 1, 2, and 3 type deal. So far I've only used flies, so I think I've been legal. Don't want to toss a stick bait with treblw hooks, or Power Bait, in the wrong areas. Thanks....
  11. Can I get a little more info? What color scud? What size hook? Is the scud weighted? What line were you using? Figure night fishing doesn't require 7x. What length leader? How far between fly and strike indicator? And....how in the heck do you see the strike indicator at night? Thanks man....
  12. Lilley....can you describe the rig, hook, set-up, etc. for bottom bouncing the Power Eggs? I'd like to try that the next time I'm there are the water is running. Thanks! Larry
  13. I caught a 6+ Brown on Sept 1st, and broke off on an even bigger fish. Was my first trip to Taney, my second was last weekend. It's becoming my favorite place to fish for trout.
  14. Very nice article.... http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=161 Would you recommend some colors and lure types? My first guess would be a rainbow trout pattern. Are treble hooks legal? What about red hooks versus the usual bronze?
  15. I used a ramp on Fall Creek road that was a few hundred yards upstream from a marina. Was right in the middle of a bunch of condos and had a sign that read "check in at the marina before using"....or something like that. Is that the ramp you're talking about? How about some directions....
  16. Any musky fishermen on this site? Looking for some help....
  17. Phil, can you tell me more about stick bait fishing for trout? I use stick baits all the time for bass, love the suspending Rogue bite at LOZ in the spring. My questions.... What lures and lure colors? What size? Use stock hooks, or do you replace? Red? Yes....bass trick.... What kind of line, and how big? Assume fluorocarbon....right? Floating or suspending stick baits? Where best to fish? Open water? Sticks and rocks? Bank vs. middle of stream? Best time to fish? You mentioned night fishing, but I'm not ready for that. Is this better when the water is running, or when still? What time of year, or does that matter?
  18. Little help for the new guy please.... What did you catch the big brown on? Are you night fishing? Picture was pretty dark....
  19. Killed them last Saturday on brown midges fished dead drift 3' down before the water started running.
  20. What's #2 and rebar?
  21. New to the forum as of today! Set-up an account to learn more about trout fishing in Missouri. I'm not a rookie fisherman by any means, just want to learn more. Can the newbie do a fishing report? Sure.... Was at Taneycomo this past Saturday, all day. Launched my bass boat for the first time on Taney, and we sleighed the trout. Between the 3 of us, we boated 60 to 70 trout, best was a 3 lb rainbow and a 2 lb brown. Caught most on a Dave's Harvester midge in size 16. Talked to a guide and he ws killing them on a dunn colored midge with a copper head. Anybody know what that is? Read the browns are near #2....what's that? Can I get directions to a better ramp? Used one just upstream of Fall Creek marina, and it's a little rough. Also, I'm not sure it's a public use ramp. Thanks....
