  1. havent fished it very seriously yet. messed around for about 30 mins on sunday with my 10 yr old using the fly rod, he caught a couple of those creek chubs on a prince nymph and a small hopper landed him a fat bluegill. i did see a crawdad the size of a small lobster near where the picture of the smallmouth was taken. biggest craw i have ever seen.
  2. Bear Creek is just North of Branson. At the enterance to Rose ONeal's museum.
  3. I took this the other day near Rose O Neal's place. I could not believe how clear that water was.
  4. Up there by state park marina? HELP!
  5. Maybe we should start a road kill forum???
  6. If you are making a reproduction of the fish, are you going to eat it?
  7. That makes sense I guess. Welcome
  8. Got to outlet #1 around 7am and had it all to myself. I caught a couple of small rainbows on an orange san juan worm. Leonard showed up around 8 and we took off to anothe location near the outlet. But not before Leonard caught a walleye and a nice smallmouth on his PMS jig. We got over to the other spot and i tied on a metallic blue suspender lure about 3 inches in length and got a real nice hit, fought the fish for a mintute or two and he got off. Leonard was catching fish on his PMS, but since he had to leave, he gave it to me. From 840 until 10am I was doing nothing but catching fish. Maybe 18 rainbows, 2 very nice smallies and 1 walleye that went 23 1/2 inches and is now in my freezer. All caught on a black PMS 1/8 oz jig. Thanks Leonard!
  9. I heard on the radio the other day that the floodgates open to something like 35 feet. The most they have been open is around 4 feet. So that is well below what the flow amount could be. I bet Table Rock lake would drop quick if those gates opened all the way.
  10. The last picture is a car driving off the end of the first picture

  12. Just curious, how much is the beer industry taking from each one of your lure sales? I work for a major theater and I can tell you the $$ for royalites and licensing is a pretty nice chuck of change.
  13. Did you do the walking tour? when I did the tour back in 2000, I went to Little Italy and had the BEST lunch ever and then walked over to a little bakery and got some fresh out of the oven cannoli. so good, my tongue slapped my face silly
  14. Actually yes. The one guy had 2 on while I was standing there, but lost them both using a scud. One of the guys said he caught one, he was using what looked like a Mepps spinner, jigging it.
  15. I took these this morning(Friday 4/11) around 8am.
  16. From the KRZK website Rain Thursday Could Change Lake Levels Click here to listen to audio While yes, we did get some rain across the Branson area today it wasn't enough to cause and alarm for local emergency management officials. Taney County Emergency Management Director Chris Berndt says Thursday is what their eyes are on. Now, with Beaver Lake being full right now... the Corps says it would have to rain 9/10ths to an inch over the entire basin... that covers at least 1-thousand square miles in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. If the floodgates were opened more , how much notice would be given?.... Berndt tells us... Cut 1 If there would have to be any kind of evacuation along Taneycomo after Thursday's rain... a reception center would be set up. Berndt also says for people who live in low-lying areas around the lake you might want to think about moving items out of basements.
  17. I was talking to a guy last night at Bass Pro, I told him about the report that Phil posted and he said "I have fished here for many years, there are NO shad in Taneycomo" I just said "Ahhh ok" and let it go at that.
