Great Report Bob, thanks so very much!!

Someone could go up there and cut off the rack, would make a nice coat rack!

Got on the water today about 9:00 and fished until 3:00. Went out or Roark Bluff and ran up Sons Creek, went about 500 yards on up into the timber and fished the east bank. Found all my bass on main lake points in about 8' foot water. Ended up catching about a dozen with 2 -15" keepers. All but a couple of bass came on the shakey head with the 4" worm, the other few came on a white jerk-bait. I was fishing down one of the bluff banks and noticed a dead deer washed up against the bank, pulled the boat onto the bank, got out, and drug a nice 8 pt whitetail out of the water. Needless to say the deer is not good but it's a pretty nice rack. If anybody shot a deer up in Sons Creek and it got away leave me a message on here and I'll let you know where the deer is. It was 45 degrees when I arrived this morning and 46 when I left, a cold, misty day with the wind out of the east 10 to 15. Tight Lines

What a great day to be on the water, cloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. A bit breezy but that didn't stop the bass bite! Went out of Mutton Creek and tried crappie fishing on some brush piles first thing but only caught one dink. Decided to fish a main lake channel swing point and ended up catching over a dozen bass on the shakey head with the 4" worm. A few of the bass might have gone 15" but they were scrappy fighters. Funny thing about today, when the bass picked up the worm (8 to 15 feet deep) you didn't feel them hit the worm but they held onto the worm and wouldn't let go.......thus it was easy to set the hook! Also went into the back of Googer Creek and found some bass hitting crank baits and spinner baits in 2 to 5 feet of water. Water temp was 53 to 55 degrees. Overall I think I ended up catching 18 to 20 bass and one keeper Walleye. Fishing should only get better as this weeks weather gets warmer!

Put in at Roark Bluff about 7:00 this morning and fished for 10 hours, it was GREAT to be back on the H2o! First stop this morning was in the cove right across the main lake from the ramp. I had always wanted to look at this cove and ended up catching a number of bass clear in the back of the cove on the last channel-swing bank. After that went into Power Line cove, went clear to the back but didn't have any luck there. I did end up catching a few on the way back out of Power Line Cove in 15' of water. Worked my way up Son's about half way to the bridge and caught a bunch of bass on bluff banks and out in the timber, I think I ended up catching 25 or 30 with 7 that would have kept......nothing over 16". Caught most of the bass on white spinnerbaits and fire tiger jigs. You know it's been a good day when your thumb is raw from lipping those bass!

Anybody do any good today?

Stated at 5:00 in the morning and fished until 1:00. 3 small bass and 2 bluegill. If I was fishing the tourney this weekend I would get out the c-rig! Go deep or stay home. Todd

Started out at Mutton Creek and fished within a couple of miles of the ramp. 2 short crappie, 4 short bass, 1 fat bluegill. TOUGH DAY, pulled out at 1:30. Have not had this slow of a day all year. Lots of boats on the lake running around. Fishbait, won't be able to make BPS on Friday evening, keep me posted.

Fished out of Mutton Creek today and had a BEAUTIFUL day! What great weather; cool, cloudy most of the day, and light wind. But the biggest bonus was the fish were biting, all of them. Ended up with 3 walleye, one white bass, 15 large mouth, and a dozen beautiful crappie. Cleaned the white bass, 6 of the crappie, and one of the walleyes. seems where ever we stopped we caught fish. We ended the day on a brush pile by Mutton Creek in 22' of water and there were a number of 12 to 14 inch crappie right on top of the brush. We also got within 30 feet of an immature bald eagle and had a spotted fawn almost swim right up to the boat before heading back to shore. All in all one of the nicest days on the water, hope you got out today!!

Walcrabass, I spend a bunch of time up Sons but there is no way I would head up there after dark, way too many hazards to hit and tear up a boat. If you get a day off in the middle of the week let me know and maybe we can head up there together?? Todd

Put in at Roark Bluff about 8:00am and fished till 4:00, spent the whole day in Sons Creek. Nothing real exciting to report. Caught a number of small bass on the flats that were chasing shad on a small chart/blue crankbait and a small Kastmaster. Also caught a number of small bass on the bluff banks on jigs and senkos. Moved to the back of Greaser and caught my only keepers flipping timber on the channel swing banks, also caught one keeper walleye on the small crankbait. Didn't have much wind up in the river and only saw one other boat out. Headed up again on Friday!

I think I will be heading back up on Thursday morning, anybody want to go? Todd btlifes2short@aol.com

Zaraspook and I met for the first time yesterday and went up to Stockton fishing. Got on the lake about 5:45 and had a pretty good morning with the bass. A couple of keepers and a number of shorts. Spook had to head back to town about 10:30 and I continued fishing and got off the lake about 4:00. Continued to catch bass with another couple of keepers and one nice (20") walleye on small a chartreuse crankbait. I lost another couple of walleyes, bigger than the one I kept, right at the boat. :-( It was interesting because I caught these walleyes in the very back of a large creek channel in less than 6' of water. Most of the bass came on the shakey head with a green 4" finess worm. Had north wind all day and very sunny skies. Be safe if you are headed out this coming weekend, it will be a zoo!

I'm in and have a boat. Ron or fishbait3, you want to fish sometime during the week let me know. Todd

Put in at Ruark Bluff around 7:30 this morning and fished for about 8 hours. Ended up catching roughly 20 bass today, 3 keepers with one going over 5 lbs! A mixed bag was used today; spinnerbaits, jigs, small crankbait, and shakey head. Looks like the lake has dropped about a foot but you can still find bass in the buck-brush. The big bass came on a channel swing bank in about 12' of water on the green jig. The biggest number of fish came on the shakey head on main lake channel swing points.

Headed out of Mutton Creek again around 9:30, stayed cloudy and breezy all day. Caught around 10 bass, 3 keepers on a variety of baits. Small crankbaits in the very back of coves in 3 to 5 feet, Jig on channel-swing banks, and shakey head with finess worm. I also caught 2 keeper walleye, one on the crankbait and one on the jig. For the first time I could not get bit on the spinnerbait???
Tight Lines,
Todd

What a let down after the past few weeks up at Stockton. Put in at Mutton Creek around 9:00 and fished until about 3:00. Spent most of the time bass fishing, when we tried crappie fishing we didn't get a bite. The crappie that were being pounded in an area where we were bass fishing this past Thursday were no where to be found today?? We did end up catching roughly 15 bass and I don't think any would have kept, well maybe one squeaker. Caught a few on the jig and a few on the worm but we had to work real hard to get the fish to bite. Did not see any sign of fish on the beds and none of the fish we caught had been building nests yet. The only thing I can figure is that it was a bluebird day and the water cooled back down to the very low 60's. We'll head back up on Thursday with the cloudy rainy weather and hope they turn back on! Tight Lines All!

Also had a tough day in and around Mutton, I'll post my report.

Went back up today on a cloudy, cold, dreary, misty, foggy and breezy day! Put in at Mutton Creek about 7:30 and fished until 3:30. Had a BALL fishing a new "technique" today. Normally I don't get too detailed about what I use but I just have to share this. I was told that anglers were doing good on a floating worm on Table Rock so I decided to try this up at Stockton. I bought a bag of Zoom "Sherbert" Trick Worms and rigged them Texas style with no weight. I caught a fish on my second cast and it was all GREAT from there. I must have caught 40+ fish today, most in the 14" range but must have caught at least 8 or 10 keepers. Nothing bigger than 3#'s today but what a time I had throwing that floating worm!!! I would highly suggest you try this if you are headed up that way this weekend. Let me assure you that you can't throw that worm too shallow. The water is clear and you keep telling yourself that you could see fish if they were that shallow.......WRONG, they are there so throw it right up on the bank and twitch it back to the boat. Most all the hits came within 6' of the shoreline, it you let the worm sink about half way back to the boat you'll even catch more fish. It was an AWESOME day to be out!!! I'm not sure this would work if it's sunny, and I couldn't catch the fish on this worm in stained water, I tried a jig, wart, and chatter-bait but I couldn't get bit. But I really only tried these other baits for a short time because I was having soooo much fun with the trick worm! If you try this let me know how you do. Might just have to head back up tomorrow! Good Luck All!

Anybody want to go fishing tomorrow, I think I'm headed up to Stockton?
Bass Fishing On 12/22 & 12/23
in Stockton Lake

Fished Saturday out of State Park Marina and stayed within 2 miles of the ramp. Got on the lake about 10:30 and fished until 3:30, water temp was 45 and the wind was 15 out of the south. Caught about 10 blacks with one keeper all on a white jerk bait. Found the fish on a main lake point at Maze Creek and also in the back of a main lake cut in 10' of water on a chunk rock bank. I also caught one smallie on the finess worm on the rip-rap point at the maina.
Fished Sunday out of Mutton Creek on a BEAUTIFUL day, 9 to 3, light breeze, lake temp 44 to start and 47 by 3:00. Couldn't hardly buy a bite unitl the afternoon then the bite picked and my partner and I ended up with about 20 blacks, most all of them 12 to 14 inches. We might of had 3 keepers but didn't measure, we did catch one keeper walleye on the jerk bait. We caught about half our fish on jigs and finess worms and the other half on the white jerk bait. Found a nice group of fish up on a main lake bluff @ Powerline Cove and then a nice group of fish in Mutton Creek about half way back on a chunk rock bank.
Merry Christmas all, hope Santa brings you all new fishing equipment!
