However Josh, if we fill the parking lot With trailers and one of those campers calls the water patrol then we are screwed because some on here are advertising it as a tournament, which it is not, and we don't have a regatta. My plan is to go fish cedar ridge with Justin that morning, and if you other guys happen to be there too then great!!!

Since we are not doing a real tournament, as that requires a regatta permit and official entry fees, I don't think there needs to be a whole lot of rules to it. I think that of there are 2 people in each boat then you should be able to have 30 crappie and 10 bass. Then pick your best 5 bass between then 2 and your best however many crappie to weigh in. I personally want to keep what I catch, especially crappie, as do i think most others probably will. Since it is not an official tourney we should be able to keep them. Again, just my opinions. Jason

They work every bit as good as those other ones in the main store.

There are guys on here that probably catch more quality bass than me, but plastic worms are almost guaranteed to catch lots of fish. I took fishbait3 and Justin Scobee out the other day and we probably caught a dozen or so in about 2 hours.

I don't do much fishing that far north, but you should be able to find plenty of bass on chunk rock banks with plastic worms.

I don't think any of my rods are the original length anymore. Mostly because I buy them all at the outlet store, but i have broken my fair share of them too.

You need to throw out those redbug worms and go to the junebugs Justin. That is a bass slaying machine of a color.

Does anybody have any hot spots around CC that you wouldn't mind sharing? I really want to get Josh and Justin on some fish. i usually catch a few up there, but don't know of many good spots, brush, fencerows, roadbeds, etc. If you have anything that could help please pm me. Looks like i will be heading up tomorrow afternoon to try and find some crappie. I think I am heading to CC. Taking fishbait3 and Justin scobee with me, as I don't think either one of them have fished that area much. Hopefully we can get into some crappie. If not, I guess I eill have to Show them how to catch 14" bass on plastic worms. Hahaha Jason

9lb, that's interesting because plastic worms seem to be about the only thing I CAN catch a bass on right now. And I've been catching a ton on them lately.

I'm definitely up for the tourney thing. What we may have to end up doing is just settng a date to fish, and whoever shows up can fish together. It may end up being too much of a hasle getting enough people to commit. That is the experience I have had with trying to put fundraiser tourneys together for our turkey chapter. You could just set a time and ramp to meet, and pair people up then if you had to. Just another idea.

Nice. I don't really know much at all about walleye fishing, so when you say jigs do you mean crappie jigs? Or something else?

Went to CC this morning and caught about 30 or so crappie, with 9 big keepers. May have done better but the darn wind kicked my butt. All of them were in 10-12fow and 5-7ft deep. Caught on minnows and slip bobbers Jason

That one in Everton is the Handy Hut. They never seem to have any minnows when I stop there. They told me last week that all of their minnows had been stolen.

Thanks Zarraspook. I come out of Springfield, so it's a straight shot on 160 all the way. If the wind isn't bad I'm going to High Point and would stop At Lakey's.
