  1. yea me too i had to work really hard to get a five fish bag on monday and i found fish all over the place from in the back of the pockets in the buck brush to main lake points to 20 to 24fow and even some brush pile fish. still caught alot of short fish but the 16 to 17'' keeps we been tearing up were hard to come by let alone a good kicker fish,
  2. papi and i can customize the baits how ever you want them. they are basically a war eagle bait but we can use .040 wire which makes them hold up better but i suggest the .037 wire on the night colors because they will thump and vibrate better. pm me i can get you in contact with him. Papi is working on a big order of ned heads for sportsmans factory outlet so we are pretty swamped right now and dont have much inventory but we will fill your orders still in a timely fashion.
  3. turnback is muddy and rolling after the heavy rain last night. sons had mud coming down this afternoon fyi for the cat fishermen.
  4. thnx alot trap for suggesting d fish reeves he whupped on me pretty bad lmbo!!!!! but it didnt help me partner culled on my 5th fish thinking it was my 6th fish. guess i shoulda throwed one of my own spinner baits i had made up hahahaha!!!!!

  7. if you decide to fish any the accesses off y highway especially south and east of the bridge keep your eyes open, the farrow hogs are in there thick as of the last year or so.
  8. chicken rock is across the lake from the ruark east campground and up to the left just a little. back when i was a kid it was a favorite swimming hole.
  9. good job whacking them. dprice and i had similar results on tuesday. the fish are starting in a transition pattern. its gonna be hit and miss for a few days till the recoup from the spawn and start feeding heavy again.
  10. son's creek at 39 bridge can be good this time of year but especially if we get some mud coming down it this week end. the bigger cats especially flatheads will come out of the deeper water bout a mile down and follow the mud right up the creek.
  11. might try a night crawler couple feet under a bobber just off the rocks on the rip rap at CC. its just bout time for the cats to be up there. tell your kid's to hold on TIGHT!!! You never no when a big flathead might gobble down that worm up there!!!!
  12. me too WP, i picked up some baits to try a different pattern that has started up after dark on the rock I hope it works tomorrow night!!!!
  13. not tuesday night but caught fish on it last night with a rage craw on TR.
  14. sportsmans had zinkers and zeros on monday
  15. dprice and i put in at mutton creek north at 6:30pm and fished tll dark. my front graph is out so not sure of water temp maybe D will remember. We found good colored water north of mutton and fished mostly one stretch of main lake and caught fish the whole length of it. we caught fish shallow and we caught fish deep.Caught fish on a structure shakey w/trick worm,. buzz bait, underspin with a swim bait and a lizard. not sure even how many we caught but they were on big time atleast 25 i's say several nice keeps too. D will try to post the one pic we did take of a nice fish. he texted it to me but i dont know how to pull it off my new phone.
  16. very good price on it. i paid 110.00 for mine.
  17. rays custom baits in mt. vernon has ned heads in 3/32, 1/16th and 1/8th oz. #2 mustad hook and are powder painted in grn pumpkin, brown, black or red. we may be putting them in sportsman factory outlet the details for the upc codes still need to be worked out. Call papi at 417 316-0655. He has silicone molds and a casting machine and a very fast turn around on orders plus we try to keep them in stock so all we have to do is powder paint them.
  18. sorry just seen this. Ray's Custom Baits in Mt, Vernon Mo. between Springfield and Joplin has been making Stacey Kings Ned Rig Heads for over 5 years. If you call him first thing in the morning theres a good possibility he can have them ready for you when you pass by if your coming up I-44. i'm sure i have a pack ea of grn pumpkin and pb&j zinker z's or zeros too. heads come in 3/32, 1/16th and 1/8oz. We can make them with or with out collars. i prefer w/o collars. http://www.rayscustombaits.com/contact number at the bottom of the home page. ned rig heads are not listed on the website tho.

  22. great job!!!! 7 keeps out of 20 ain't too bad at all. nice looking brown fish.
  23. thnx for posting the pic of that egg sack. those big girls are gonna spawn pretty quick and i agree with you because of the water clarity they are gonna spawn maybe even as deep as 15fow unless we get enough rain to murk things up. couple weeks ago i was catching the biggest males ive caught in a long time what i thought at the time were suspended in up to 20fow. maybe they was building nests in the the 15' range.
  24. Stacey hears a nice read on catching spawning crappie i found on wired2fish. https://www.uaex.edu/publications/PDF/FSA-29.pdf MDC Article http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/fishing-how-tos/crappie-fishing
  25. dont forget to fish the eddies at the bridge. it might save you alot of paddling.
