I'm not disputing their right to have fun on the water. I do, however dispute their intelligence when I am 40 ft from the bank & they choose to ignore my right to fish. After all there's plenty of space for all on the lake. My point wasn't that they are acting with malice, but total ignorance & selfishness! You don't need a doctorate in physics to see what that does to a guy trying to fish. The look on my face should have said enough but it didn't seem to since the guy just smiled & waved

I guess you learn just how many idiots are out there once you get a boat. Tried to fish last saturday down toward the dam & the jet skiers would run between us & the bank & wave!! They have no clue!! Surely nobody could be that rude however I do believe they could be that ignorant. Wish I'd had a 3 oz sinker to get his attention

I'm undecided about the size limit or slot. There is one school of thought that says dropping the size limit has actually helped the fewer fish get bigger. Less competition so more growth. I have actually cought bigger fish since they dropped the length to 15. Sounds like judjing from your luck this year, you're seeing similar results. I haven't had the chance yet this year to do any eye fishing vut I've sure cought some nice ones fishing crappie though. -
Put in at Mutton Creek at 8:30. Went back to Birch & fished till 12:30. Within the first 5 minutes we cought an 11 incher and one 9. Thought we were really going to tear them up. Found fish in 20 to 25 fow but they wouldn't bite anything. Seemed to be a common theme with everyone else we talked to.

I've always eaten fried fish but recently bought a Big Green Egg so I had to try to grill some. Went up to Truman 3 weeks ago & laid into the white (blue) cats (while crappie fishing was slow on Stockton) so I figured they'd be as good as any. Tried some on wood planks with butter & seasoning & some in foil. They were pretty dad gummed good!! You can't beat fried fish but grilling them was a nice change. by the way, I'm new here and appreciate everyone's comments.
