  1. I've been checking your report for a long time now. every time I hit Stockton. It definitely has helped me know how I'm gonna attack the lake, thanks.
  2. Where's a good spot at or near Stockton where I can pull some in from the shore?? Gettin tired of catching crappie and I wanna catch some walleye.
  3. If i would have landed a fish or a big dady bass would hit my minnow i would have been tied up in three lines. Im usually the guy who will keep his cool but it makes me REALLY mad.
  4. really really hate it when seasoned anglers having a hard time gettin bit come cast beside the guy catching fish? I expect children and teens to do it and dont get mad at that because i love to see kids pull em out but I think its unacceptable for adults to do. I know i dont own the lake or any spots on the shoreline but when i started fishing my uncle would NOT allow me move into his "hole", I guess i just expected people to use common sense when fishing. I expect it at places like truman where people stand shoulder to shoulder but not an empty lake on a rainy day.
  5. Everyone wants to catch crappie but it seems like theyd rather just go when they can pull them out. I hope my advice helped at least a little bit.
  6. Unless theyve spawned deep I wouldnt believe it.
  7. A guy showed up to cedar ridge sat night and started slayin em. We took seven home after 2 hours none under 11 inches. It's always a good time to hit the lake
  8. Nice report. Fished the barge at cedar ridge sat and was pullin crappie and walleye up more than usual. Idk why but the bite was on.
  9. Don't have the lights that are submerssible but fishing with a lantern at the end of the cedar ridge fishing dock has been successful more often than not. If the bite ain't on those last hours of daylight the lantern usually will produce some fish. Hope this helps, if you get a chance let me know how you do with the drop lights been thinking about investing in some myself.
  10. I have a lot of luck below the dam at Springfield Lake. If you are looking for cats Valley Water Mill has some pretty big channel cats and hasnt been fished too much because its just opened (caught 4 worth keepin easter weekend). Places you might check out in the area are the mcdaniel bridge, fellows and my favorite if you are up for a small drive, Stockton Lake.
  11. They need to be out putting out more decoys and making contact with anglers on lakes a lot more often instead of just in the summer months. I think Ive only been asked for my fishing license once my whole life, wich to me is alarming. Whos out really making sure those A rigs only have 3 hooks?
  12. Theres still native species I havent got to catch yet, so I say Im cool with what we have.
  13. Its been the same way for me too. I catch more at other spots on the lake but Id rather catch the bigguns at Cedar Ridge.
  14. Havent limited out at stockton but the fish are QUALITY size. Night fishing them has been better to me and my buddies and we usually always walk away with a keeper walleye in the night time too. We dont get many walleye bites during the day.
  15. fish at the end of the dock at cedar ridge.
  16. Its just a waiting game, minnows seem to be consistant and the two goldfish we got mixed in were really gettin the hits. Something big ran with my buddys line im thinkin it was a big walleye on that golfish but it hung him up around the dock or somewhere near the bottom.
  17. Went back 4-5 and caught 11 big ol hoss crappies. They were all 12" or better, we only caught one that was 10.5".
  18. I know a guy who let his friend store his little jon boat in the living room and now has a inch cutout gash in his arm from a brown recluse. Stupid move.
  19. *oops double post
  20. Was a really windy and crazy night there for a while then everything got really calm. We fished with a lantern off the edge off different dock sides all night with a minnow ( 1 caught on black/green jig) about 6-8 feet and ended up with 6 keeper crappie (most 11 inches). The hits were extra light, Im guessin they were nipping at the minnows where they were holding. I recommend the lightest tackle you have. Also went a couple nights before and got skunked but the boys ended up with 9 keeper crappie and a 15.5 inch walleye. The fishing is not bad at Stockton, its very beginner-intermediate fisherman friendly. Its nice to be able to get into some fish without a boat too! Headed down tomorrow gonna go to Aldridge and High Point to see what me and a buddy can pull out. Fish on.
