Anyone been doing any good in the brushy creek area for crappie? Been out there twice in the last week and have not got a single papermouth. Went up to bridgeport last weekend and got two limits in the flats in 12 fow. I'm new to the brushy area so any advice appreciated.

Headed up to cricket creek Sunday. Water temps around 48 with good color. Ran into a few boats who were picking up a random crappie here or there on trees in 20 fow. I got the old goose egg, but my buddy hooked 3 on swimming minnows. All fish picked it up on the fall. On a side note I did manage to catch one nice 3 lb white bass in front of bass pro marnia in 80 fow. It was starting to show a little belly!

Does anyone ever have any luck picking up crappie off of the MDC stump fields on Table Rock? Any thoughts on these structures is appreciated.

Thanks for confirming the way I have felt about my success! I see that mdc put some brush piles around gage's ....I mean bass pro marina. If I can find some of those in deeper water we'll give it a go. Do you typically hit the brush piles in the winter months or troll? Thank you again for providing feedback.

Does anyone have any advice on winter crappie between dam area and 86 bridge? Most of the brush piles I know are in 10 feet of water or less. It seems other area lakes doing well on winter crappie but haven't seen much on TR. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for all the great advice. Not only are they great tasting and a blast to catch on ultralight two pound test, people don't mind sharing how and where to catch them. Much abliged.

New to chasing bluegill for food. Trying to catch a few limits the next few weeks for a familly reunion fish fry. Does anyone have any suggestions to point me in the right direction?

Can anyone tell me where the james river ends and lake springfield begins? I ask for night fishing purposes. I understand lake SPF is closed after dark per CU. Thanks for feedback.
