  4. Just send me a message and Ill try to get down there with ya! Ive been fishing and catching a few nice browns recently. You cant fish a 5lb tippet under an indicator here recently... which is a normal for me. Ive had to go to 6X tippet and small flies such as a scud or mayfly nymph, The hoppers, Beetles, and Ants are picking up really good. Im not sure about the road your talking about, Sorry. Sorry I havent been on in a LONG time my passwords got messed up.

But I would also like some money and prizes for a new rod I like the 270 alright... Id like to see the Best of the west sounds like those guys can fling that thing pretty far!
  11. so what were you catching the Bass on (striped bass) and how were you fishing it, and one more depth... Im getting pumped up for the bass !!!!!!!!!! (oh yeah you need to go fishing with me
  12. Ah Rusty I wish I could do that... Lol no the rod was a Bass Pro 270 with matched line but was a cheap line... It was at the Broken Arrow Bass Pro shops.
  13. Alrght well I entered my 1st competition this weekend and I won the advanced class with a cast of 86ft 10in but I know that it was a small cast for a big competition... I was wondering where I could go to a local competiton that is a larger one. thanks guys! (and ladies)
  14. Mikey, To get to the east bank you go across the dam and then go up the road probably 7 miles Im guessing. To a place called McQuicks at McQuicks you take a right the follow the road 5-8 miles and then you will see 2 blue water towers. Take a right there and then follow that road another 2-5 miles to 2 stone pillars probably 5 ft tall. Follow that road which after a few miles turns into a dirt road (stay on main road) and keep following it and you will find the river... Thats the best I can explain it. I always just go to the dam then walk to wherever it is I need to go. Have fun though! I would go with you but I have to go to a meeting for my Montana trip I CANT WAIT FOR MONTANA!!! lol
  15. Ugh!!! Im going to hate going back to the lower Illinois River..... I went and fished Dry Run Creek Monday with the largest being about 10lbs!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooo pumped up when he sucked in that scud!!! I didnt see it coming. I was sight casting to him and the first cast that was right on top of him he inhaled it! I also caught some that were around 20" on the average.... Oh well that was the largest fish Ive ever caught.... Well I guess that will tide me off for the Striper this season... I hope I can get the pic of him as my pic...
  16. Mikey, Sounds like yall are doing great down here. Was the water generating when you were there? I was standing up by the dam early in the morning fishing and only caught 1 trout fishing for sandys. When you say Friday do you mean the 25th? If so they will more than likely be generating water. Ill give you my cell # in a message call me if youll be comeing down in the evening! My past few fishing excursions have included caddis' and alot of smaller dry flies. Ive also had tons of luck on longer leech patterns swung thru a current then twitched every 5 seconds or so. Were still haveing some fishing for sand bass but not a whole lot of big ones. Im looking forward to seeing the striper bust on top after a shad, thats one of the best sights youll ever see. Well Good luck to ya if I cant make it down whenever you go!

  18. http://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/power/hydropower.html#TENK Here ya go.... Dont trust it... But if they are running and havent been for a while go to Marval Or Public Access or go up to the coves in the lake and catch a few bass or crappie while theyre up shallow...
  19. Ive been fishing in the coves here on Lake Tenkiller and they just started coming in and were catching them from the bank then the snap just come in and killed em... Well when we get this rain the other guys are saying youll have a 5 gallon bucket filled with em in 10 mins and you get tired of fishing in 2 lol! (dont think I could ever Get tired of catching em!) but theyre providing excellent fun on a popper and real light weight tippets...
  20. I caught a few hybrids (I think lol they had the broken stripes like a hybrid and were nice and plump ) But I was using a fly that I had tyed made of Icelandic sheeps hair. Ill post a pic later on. But I was there for an hour and a half and caught 3 the largest was around 4lbs !!!! These were the first hybrids I had ever caught on a fly rod so I was really excited lol... Hope somebody else has been fishing for them this year. If anyone else has lets hear them reports lol... Well I also missed about 5 of them...
  21. Diver where do you live? im looking for a dive buddy this year
