I was down there today. Water up the james wasn't to bad had a green color to it. Didn't see any floaters looked clean. Didn't go up flat but did cross the bridge and looked rough on that side. From the marina to Wooley had great color and was clear also. Hope this helps.

The Wednesday amateur tounry was canceled by the marina owner due to boat traffic. The Sunday summer tounry was also canceled. So carol started this club tounry to help the cover it. He just wanted me to spread the word when I called today. No better place then here. The launch and the weight in will be at one of the launch ramps instead of the marina like last year.

Magic man thank you. It was a very exciting to finally have all pieces fall into place for once. O my it wouldn't be fair. I threw a jerk, bait, wiggle wart, jig in locations no such luck the only thing I heard from most of the elites that I didn't try was a big swim bait. Didn't have much luck these guys are the best at what they do and really showed how lucky we are to fish such a diverse lake like the rock.

Me and my ol man fished out of cape fair for there sunday tourney this morning. We went down towards piney. I told dad that I wasn't going to throw the a rig. Well after I threw everything in the boat and could only land shorts. After he had already landed 3 keepers with a 6lb kicker. I had to get in on the action so I tied one on and on the second cast landed our 4 keeper a good 2 1/2 pounder. We moved around alittle with no helper fish. Till dad set the hook and I knew he had another stud a 5 1/2 pounder. We culled our 15 incher and went in. I said there's no way if we caught them this good we are going to be in the money. Well with 15.72 in 4 fish we won it. Had a awesome day on this wonderful lake. I'll post pics if I can figure out how to do it.. we caught all our fish in 10 to 15 foot.

Howdy boy's I've been watching this post since the first response. Me and my ol man fish those Sunday tounrys out of cape fair. I know we are average fishermen and I'll be the first one to say we got our butts kicked and I'm not hanging my head one bit that's why we love our lake. With that been said every single one of you guys have helped me learn and grow. We all love fishing and it's important to help grow the sport we love. Your post have help me take my son out and catch fish but also explain to him what and why rwe caught that fish. I know this is not only helping raise my kid but teaching him responsibilities beyond a tv or a game console. What im trying to say is let's all enjoy what this website has to offer get fishing reports and awesome people. Thank you guys for the time spend on the water and look forward to meeting some of you guys. I'm not a punctuation kinda guy so sorry lol.. cody

Hey guys. We fish cape fair buddy bass tournaments sunday mornings. Our fish off coming at the end of the month and we are looking for another small buddy tournament trail on sundays. Ive looked all over and not having any luck. We are willing to travel to any part of the lake. Let me know if you guys know of any. Thank you guys.
