If your wanting to launch somewhere near the dam; RB , Orleans Trail, and Crabtree are all good places to put in at. As far as I know Cedar Ridge is still shut down due to the low lake level, but I think you can access the ramp on the campsite side of Cedar Ridge not a 100% though.
I always wear a hat I bought at Latourells Outfitters in Ely, MN. If anybody is looking for a great place to take a trip and catch a bunch of quality smallies you need to check Latourells out.
If wearing a certain outfit, shirt, hat, etc..... helps a guy catch more fish, then he better be wearing it. Whatever it takes to put more in the boat. I certainly have a few superstitons I believe help me when I'm on the water.
Unless there's a big change in weather and water temp between now and when you will be there I think you are right on with the jig. The jig bite was on this past weekend.
Bill I also like the PigSticker jig but there is only one place I know that carries them and its a 40 minute drive from my place. Do you know if there is any place that has them near the Springfield area? Id like to go pick them up without having to order what I want off their website.
Ya I think I am going to try and fish those this year if I can find a partner. I usually fish with my Dad and he cant fish on Sundays and the winter bass brawls are on Sundays I think. I saw on the link you posted there was a few Stockton Lake Open Buddy Bass Tourneys starting in November. Do you know anything about those tourneys? pretty good draw? entry fee?
Does anyone know of any tournaments scheduled for this winter on Stockton? I am a high school football coach and don't get much time on the water from about mid July till mid November. If anyone knows about any club tourneys or circuits that will be up there this winter please let me know. Thanks for the help.
