  1. Jiggin'
  2. Moved out of state, but had the opportunity to fish Table Rock a few times during 2013 during my short stay in Springfield, and I must say it is a great fishery. Definately one of my favorite places to fish, I enjoyed learning how to catch em'... Here is a vid I made of some of the fish I caught. I'd like to think i'm a better fisherman than camera man.
  3. I broke off 2 muskies @ fellows. One on a jig in 2 feet of water, and one on a spook. I guess they would bite on anything. I also heard someone say that they aren't going to stock muskies anymore....not trying to start the rumor but does anyone know this to be true?
  4. Glad to hear the fish are still biting...
  5. Been wanting to go out but its just to windy for me. Its good to know you caught some fish.
  6. I tried using warts because all of the talk about them. On 2 separate occasions I purchased warts and both times the warts would swim sideways on the retrieve. I guess it was just bad luck, but reluctant to purchase another because of my experiences with what I call a poorly made product.
  7. My scale was broken, but wanted to share this Smallmouth that had to be around 4 or 5 lb's. What an angry fish....this ones mouth was bigger than any largemouth I have caught at the Rock.
  8. The spillway....I tried the other side and did not catch anything....do you think its possible to bring a canoe past those buoys towards the spill way? or is that illegal.....
  9. Maybe its better that these ramps are closed, especially for some of these idiots I see on youtube "lauch fails" there is some ridicuous launches that are worth watching if you need a few laughs.
  10. Saw a post about bank fishing on here earlier. After dropping someone off at Branson Airport, I figured I try fishing the bank by the darn area and try out my new bait caster. I cant believe I been fishing with cheap gear my whole life, good reels make a huge difference! Forgot to set my drag and lost a huge large mouth after it surfaced and spit out my jig....so disappointing aaaarrrg!!! Later I caught a 5 lb largeM, my personal Table Rock best. The first large mouth I missed was even bigger, probably between 5 - 8 lb. There must be some big ones swimming around that dam.
  11. Planning on hittin Stockton for the first time here in the next few days, let you guys know how it goes
  12. I need one of those Lowrances on my canoe.
  13. Soaking jigs in milk overnight is the hottest trend in bass fishing. All the pros are doing it!
  14. I should have went to the dam, went to Aunts Creek for the first time and caught one fish all day also on a jig. Water temp was lower 70's in the morning, but got up to 77. Not sure if that's why they weren't biting but it was slow.
  15. I did some research and found the threadfin shad to be native to the Rock. Anyone have any info on our local baitfish, size, type, etc?
  16. Right on Hknfsh! I will look into it, thank you.
  17. Oh snap! Nice fish dude! Definitely going to have to pick one up. All my rods got max 8 lb test, probably going to go 12 or 15 with that thing.
  18. I've hit Fellows, Table Rock, and Lake Springfield a lot, but never Stockton. Since I am fishing from a canoe w trolling motor and the area I can cover is limited, would anyone have a good area they could suggest to launch from?
  19. Canoeboy? 9 + lbs,4 fish,????, not bragging but I think it's ?❕???? Whoa, some guy had a 20lb bag, pretty amazing❗I guess professional fisherman are kind of like pro golfers in a way. If you have ever played golf and then watched the pros on tv, you know what I mean.
  20. Caught this one today with a chatterbait w/ swimbaits trailer
  21. That's awesome @Blubasser! Was that a recent picture with current conditions, you should have joined the tournament.
  22. Great info guys just trying to figure out a way to beat my personal best on the Rock, I thought a swim bait might be able to accomplish that. The only swim baits I have currently are some Berkley hollow bellies that are not too big, but are very weedless. Maybe ill try em around some trees. If I find a pattern I will let you guys know. @ Mikey, that MS Slammer looks like a good bait, I might have to bust open my piggy bank.
  23. I haven't heard to many people using swim baits on the Table Rock forum. Has anyone had any luck with these, if so what technique, color, depth, water temp, etc...
  24. I fished today around Indian Point. Tough bite, but caught a few Kentuckies jigging in 60 ft of water. That was about it for me, but it was a nice day to be on the lake.
  25. I live in the Springfield area, I have a rod with a broken tip I would like to fix. Anybody know where I could fix it, or if its even possible?
