  1. Any body had luck with creature baits such as sweet beavers on table rock?
  2. Went to the seminar about how to crappie fish provided by Missouri Conservation department and decided I was going to need sonar. Great seminar by the way for any unexperienced crappie fisherman. I would recommend checking out the website from the Missouri Conservation Department, especially if you are new to Table Rock Lake. I have a 16 ft canoe and was wondering if any kayakers or canoe anglers have a recommended sonar system that they use. I was planning on mounting the transducer directly on the trolling motor that is mounted in the rear of the canoe. Anybody have good results from a similar setup or a better way to do it?
  3. I hear alot of talk about these "Warts", so I decided to buy one. Used it for the first time and I must have bought a retarded Wart because it swims sideways when I reel it in.
  4. Thanks for the tips.....
  5. The water is still cold, but any thoughts on how to catch some fish this weekend at the Rock. Its suppose to be in the 60's. We will enjoy the lake either way, but some fish would be nice! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Today I had the same results. Started out at Indian Point and tried all my usual spots that I usually catch and not a single bite. I did see some fish jumping out of the water when it was raining, but not sure what they were chasing.
  7. Without a job I can fish all day baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. First time at TR. Launced from Indian Point with a canoe and I wasn't sure how i would do since the lake was so big. I caught 11 fish thanks to a guide I met on the lake. Fished for 9 hrs and only caught 2 the first 6 hrs i fished on top water early in the morning. Thanks to the guide I met who kindly shared some tackle and techniques using grubs on jigs I caught the remainder of my bag all smallies with one 4 lb Kentucky right by the doc on my way to shore. I am not sure if it was the depth of the water or the species, it was my first time catching smallmouths, but I was surprised how much of a fight these fish were giving me. Had a blast, returned the next day but the wind prevented me from targeting certain ares. What a great lake, can't wait to go back!
