I floated the river last weekend when it was about 2k. Nice float few fish, managed a couple trout and did not see any stripers.

Thanks for the reply. I'm planning on hittin the river the first weekend of Nov. I've floated the San Juan with big crowd's...we called it wader bowling.

I get some strange looks with the clacka or raft behind the truck. Glad to hear there are some other oddballs out there.

Thanks for the reply Josh. The raft only requires a couple inches and the boat not much more, and the raft is light and easy to portage. I just want to make sure that I'm not going to run into a situation where the water is low enough that I have to carry the raft WAY down river at low CFS and that there is not a spot on the river off limits to wading due to private property.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the area and looking for info on access and floating the LIR. First, what would be considered a minimum flow for floating from the dam to the ramp outside Gore. I'm lucky enough to have a raft and driftboat, so either could be used. Also, what about wading the river. I've done some research on wade access points but was wondering if there are any areas from the dam done to the hwy bridge that are private or where wading is restricted. Thanks in advance. Ryan
