From Hwy 8 to the spring sucks. It would be great to have an access at or near the spring.... From there down isn't too bad but still low. Water is ultra clear. Fish are in 3-4 foot of water.

I'm not exactly sure what I want yet. Longer probably would be better. I love the open cockpit design of the one you did! I was planning on a kit to save time. The marathon kayak Gerald is currently building is really nice. 19 foot!

I'm wanting a kayak to do the mr340 in. Something efficient but fairly stable. I've read good things about the Pygmy 14' Arctic Tern. I'm 5'4" 150lb. I live near Rolla, so about 3 1/2 hrs from you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Fighting the leaves is a pain! I still love getting out this time of year, even if the fishing isn't awesome.
