Very good info Bill I will have to try this. I am not much of a drop shot person myself I know it is a very productive way to catch alot of fish and I have used it a few times but not with much luck on any fish over 14 in but that could be my own fault for not fishing it enough and probably not in the right places but I think I will wait till after the 4th weekend so most of the ski boats and party people are off the water so that way I got the river arm almost to myself and spend some time with the drop shot rigs around my brushpiles that I have been fishing. Thanks for the info.

Found A Bag Of Tackle On My Way Out Of The Marina
Josh Holt replied to Josh Holt's topic in Table Rock Lake
Met him at the ramp this evening gave him back his bag he lost. Turnes out he was a pretty cool guy he was a teacher at the branson high school, real nice guy. -
Oh their is a lot of people like that around here, I shrugged it off cause I would rather not have to have a conflict with anyone if I can avoid it. I'm pretty easy going guy and usually don't take anything to heart or let stuff get under my skin but man their is some really stupid people out their that dont think before they act. LIke motoman said he probably has so much stress stress and debt he feels obligated to take it out on other people lol I didn't take it to heart cause I think it makes a person even more mad when you laugh at them while their being a butt. A few years ago I would have got out on the bank with the intentions of fighting but the good lord above has calmed my spirit and part of walking with god is learning to turn the other cheek and walk away no matter how mad someone or something makes you. But like I always say you can't fix stupid and that guy had a whole lot of it lol.

I put in at the marina at 4 this afternoon with a buddy and the kentuckies mixed with largemouth were still in the same spot they have been. We still continued to pick them up on swim baits and deep crankbaits. We had around 40 or 50 caught before 7 then we moved out to a couple banks i fish their close to the marina and started throwing the ole monster worm and caught five good keepers between 7 and 9 kept fishing the big worm and ended up putting one around 4 to 5lbs in the boat before we took out by far our worm fish were alot better quality then out swimbait and crankbait fish. I would say our five best weighed around 13 to 14 lbs worth so not too bad of an afternoon. If you have kids and like to take them fishing and want them to have a blast take them to the lower ramp at the marina motor over to the dock on the left and just throw any soft swimbait that looks like a shad on 1/4 once heads and they will have a blast tonight we started catching them on swimming fluke jr discoviolet and then i switched to a sassy shad 2in and they just ate it up cause it was a little smaller and it was every throw take the kids down and just let them have a ball.

I took out of the water about 10pm buy the bathrooms at the far ramp when i was on my way out and saw it in the parking lot and no one around so i just picked it up I was going to call stan at the store on the marina dock in the morning and let him know what i found their was a guy fishing from the bank for bass earlier in the afternoon below the ramp i think it might have been his he was a kid probably early twenties i hate to see a person loose their stuff like that fishing equipment aint cheap. -
I found a bag with lots of tackle in it on my way out of the capefair marina tonight. If anyone lost it you can call josh at 417 337 3493 but you must descibe the bag and its contents in order to get it just so i know im giving it back to the right person it probably has about 100 to 150 dallars worth of tackle thanks josh.

I like that the big fish your holding is right across from the marina thats where i have been putting some hogs in the boat on the ole monster worm
-
Champ is right I fish the james arm most of the time cause i know it like the back of my hand and it does seem to work better in a little dingier water and works better in the river arms
-
I just use norman dd22's right now you can find big kentuckies on bluffs with these baits
-
Im useing 1/4 and 5/16 Im throwing the candybug plumb with blue fleck and junebug red but the candybug has been producing more fish for me then any other color
-
Took my fids and wife to the lake today and yep those kentuckies were still in the same spot so it made for a lot of fun nothing big but the kids had a lot of fun throwing swimbaits for those kentuckies they just hammer it. We caught around 20 or 30 I didn't get to fish my deep worm bite but I was just their for the kiddos today and by the way my 6 year old olmost smoked ole dad with them kentuckies lol. If anyone wants to just let some kids have fun with some 14 in kentuckies go to capefair marina the last dock on the south side of the marina is just full of schooled up kentuckies along the edge of it all you need is a swimming fluke jr a 1/4once jig head and the color that we have been killing them on is disco violet let it sink for 6 seconds start realing and hold on cause the strikes are violent for the size of fish they are lol.
-
I use to fish the night tournaments at capefair and shellknob but I dont have a bass boat anymore and to me its not about the money I can win but the fun I chave and enjoyment i get when im out in gods country and bill it right with all the ski boats and partiers on the water i cant even stand up in my boat cause i have a bad left leg and knee and a mess up right foot lol I cant even walk good on land lol but, I'm still here to fish another day and take my kids out so thats good enough for me.

I know I haven't post much in a while but I hear all the reporting comeing from the main lake but fishing has been awesome around capefair. I have been three days in a row now catching a good number of fish. I know that their are alot of schooled up kentuckies and largemouth mixed on crank baits and drop shots but i have been hamering some big fish as well. All i can say is that the big worm bite is in full swing in the james arm. the last three day I have put several nice fish in the 5lb plus range in the boat and this afternoon i lost three in that class range but maneged to put five keepers in the boat one being a 4+. I have been averageing with my best five everyday in the 16 to 18lb range for my five best. They have all came on the zoom ole monster. Their is tons of kentuckies on bluffs around capefair once you find the throw swim baits let them fall to their depth or deep diving cranks have worked for me but when you find them their hungry catching 30 to 40 of them in an hour not all keepers but they sure are fun no matter the size when it fast and furious

When i fished night tournaments in capefair i carried a night vision monocular for those suspicious people
