Headed down this weekend. Seems like we have some rain in the forecast all this week, but hopefully nothing flood-worthy. It's been a few months since I've been down to Montauk, so hopefully the crowds are thin and the fish are plentiful. Has anyone been recently?

Has anyone had any luck on the Little Piney recently? Thinking of making the drive down to Milldam from St. Louis this weekend, although the weather seems to be questionable. Think it's worth the trip? Cheers.

Thanks Jeff. I'm excited to give it a shot. I'll be taking a few friends who have never fished and I've always heard the big Sunnen bluegill are plentiful. Fingers crossed for a great day. Cheers.

Has anyone fished Sunnen Lake recently or care to share some tips? I'll be hitting the water this Saturday and couldn't be more excited. First time visiting this particular lake.

2sheds, I'm not very familiar with the area either so I was a little uneasy at first, not wanting to trespass on anyone's land. From 44, I took T south through Newburg, east on Hickory Point Rd (there's a small sign indicating Milldam at this point), and then traveled south on forest road 1735. The first access point is where I ran into the group of strangers, but then I continued on the forest road to the next access point with a loop at the end of the road. I want to say both of these areas are considered "Milldam Hollow," but I can't say that's for certain. Regardless, it was a good day on the water and I recommend the trip. Olive wooly bugger was the weapon of choice. Cheers.

Fished Milldam Hollow on Sunday with great success. Ran into a few oddindividuals (who were under the influence of something) at the first access point, but drove a little further down the road and accessed the stream at the next spot. Regret not taking any photos, but caught 7 rainbows of decent size. One of my better days at this river in recent memory. Good luck!
